Camera Extension Cable - PlayStation VR (PS4)

I am using this to let me move my PS4 Camera around to places further away from the console - very useful for playing any PSVR games that are intended for stand-up play. This extension cable gives me the reach to get the camera up above head-height on a lighting-stand-type tripod (with a 3d printed adaptor mount, "PSVR Camera tripod mount" on Thingiverse) and pointed towards a suitable space in the living room.I can't comment on if this cable causes problems with the PS4 Camera's microphone, because I'm not using the mic on the camera. Other reviews suggest that may be the case, but it's a non-issue for me. The PSVR headset has its own mic built-in which overrides the camera mic anyway and I don't use the camera except for PSVR.

I bought this PS4 extension cable with a view to mounting my PS4 camera in a different position ready to use VR. I can confirm that this extension lead works with no issues and is perfect for extending the original PS4 camera cable. It has not affected the quality of the camera signal, has not required a reboot and works fine. The PSVR works with no issues with the PS4 camera plugged into this extension lead. Highly recommended.

This is kind of a necessity for PSVR since the playstation camera cable is ridiculously short.It is a bit pricey considering that it is just an USB 3 cable with a different shape.

Like other people who have reviewed this, I have had mixed results with this cable. The video works flawlessly, however the microphone input is patchy at best and completely non-responsive at worst. As I don't really use my PS4 online that much, and only have the camera for PSVR, this isn't such a big problem for me, but definitely something to be aware of.

I use this to place my PS Camera above my monitor in the man-cave, where the supplied cable wouldn’t reach to (around the back of a display case with all my records) and so the VR has been kept boxed up. Well, not any more!This just works 100% for me. I’ve heard people saying they have had issues, but mine has been used for some months now with zero problems. Recommended.

READ FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It May only be £11.99, but this is wrong on many levels.- See pictures, NOT!!! what is pictured on Amazon.- Seller or company selling false goods, Amazon let them.......WRONG! this is an infringement on The Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.- Not fit for purpose, works sometimes you change as many settings as you like. You will be sitting there screaming "Playstation" till you are blue in the face!...... ( no joke). I have written to Amazon to have this product removed, as it is clearly stated by manufacturer AND Amazon that this is a SONY PS4 compatible and registered/licenced product..........IT ISN'T......... No blue led lights come on not SONY PS4 insignia and trying to use on the ps4 it is a joke. Video works but is juddery( best way to describe it) constant feedback no matter what volume or placement.My advise is to not buy save your money.

I would give this wire 5* but the price is ridiculous!!! They know everybody needs these leads because the PS4 camera lead is not long enough. You can't find these Extensions leads in many places so they up their price way to much just for 2m of wire! Amazon shouldn't let company rip off their loyal customers like this! I had no choice, so had to purchased this lead. So overall, good leads but rip off in how much we have to pay for it. 😡😡😡

After trying (and failing) with many camera extension cables for my previous Playstation Eye camera, I was a bit hesitant in trying this one for my PS4. Expensive but works, with no lag (at least that I can see). Happy :)
