Not Part of the Plan (Blue Moon, 4)

Blue Moon just keeps getting better!
Is it even possible for Blue Moon to keep getting better? I think this book proves that yes, yes it is. The focus in this book has shifted slightly from the Pierces, but they are still a huge part of the story. It is almost as though they set the foundation of the series, because Blue Moon wouldn’t be Blue Moon without them, but now the series is getting so much bigger. Not Part of the Plan focuses on Niko and Emma. That’s right, Mr. Bad Boy Player and Miss Plan Everything/ Only Looking for Forever fall for one another. This story is so much fun! I loved Niko from the time he was first introduced as Summer’s best friend. He was good for Summer and oozed sex appeal. I also loved Emma. She fit right in with the Blue Mooners. She was kind and caring, but she provided the stability needed to run the Brewery. Falling for each other was not part of the plan for either character, but how could they resist?Niko is just as sexy as ever, but he came back to Blue Moon because he was struggling. His shiny life was starting to lose some of its sparkle. How was that even possible? He had worked hard and achieved everything he really wanted in life. But was it really what he wanted? As Niko sets off to prove his life worthy, he can’t help but fall for Emma. However, she isn’t really interested in a fling which is all he really knows how to do. He has to pull out all the stops to convince her to give him a chance. And pull out all the stops he did. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for Emma. I love that he was able to bring out the fun in her. He seemed to know exactly what she needed even before he realized she was all he needed. Could this bad boy truly be reformed? And Emma...sweet, driven Emma. Emma is Gia’s older sister. She moved to Blue Moon after Jax sought her out to run the Brewery. After being abandoned by her mother at a young age, she stepped up to be there for her family. She is now convinced stability is the most important trait in a partner. She thought she could resist Niko and all his charm, but she never stood a chance. While she was busy planning her forever, she forgot to enjoy the here and now. Once Niko brought out the fun loving side of her, she couldn’t get enough, and Niko makes it hard to walk away. While she gives in to the temporary fun of Niko, can she let go of her plans of forever? Could Niko ever really be her new forever plan? These two characters are explosive. They both have such strong personalities that make conflict inevitable, but they are also so passionate and making up is worth the fight. At times they both try to resist the other, but how can you resist the person your heart has always been waiting for? I love that while they both seem to have everything from the start, they seem to complete each other so perfectly. They both have personal demons to fight, and they are only able to conquer them with the help of the other. Did I mention the passion? The sexy times are off the chart! These two were made for each other in every way. Will the BC be able to claim another victory?I can’t recommend this book enough. Everything about it is simply fantastic. The writing is phenomenal in true Lucy fashion. I seriously go through all the feels every. single. time. The characters are real and relatable while the town is too good to be true. While we are expanding out from the original characters, I love that we continue to check in on their lives. I do think you should read this series in order so you experience the background and growth of the town as a whole. You get to know the characters so much more in depth if you read in order, and since they all reappear in all the books, it makes them so much more enjoyable. If you are a Kindle Unlimited subscriber, this is an added bonus for you since these are available through KU, however, I went ahead and bought myself a copy as well. This is one I know I will return to over and over.

Cute Love Story/Sexy Hero
Truth? This novel had me worrying for the Blue Moon books in general. The heroine, Gia’s sister, was like almost frumpy except for her shoes until Nikolai entered her world and shook up someone who craved “safe”. Perhaps that’s why I initially thought “dull” as a descriptor for her. Plus, she’s described very little beyond “lush body and high heels at work” and, the Merrill Sisters red hair.Nikolai was described as “bad boy”. He buys his first motorcycle and becomes “bad boy motorcyclist with ‘vegan’/plastic riding boots and is insanely well-off as a world class fashion photographer”. Sound a bit much? If you add in gallons of margaritas, wine, beer, etc., it definitely isn’t her best in Blue Moon nor her worst. I truly enjoyed the book despite my griping about small things. The chapters leading up to Niko’s show, the “friends-to-forever” has some really intriguing moments. It includes some fun and funny scenes. I’m pretty happy and open on most things but I’m not sure regular people drink as much as her characters do (on a daily basiyys). They live the Buffet “…it’s five o’clock somewhere” starting anytime and ending whenever. It’s probably to hint at posh but it comes off boozy.Enjoy Niko. Enjoy the antics of Blue Moon. I’m sorry I couldn’t give this one a five star rating but Niko is a delightful invention and a pleasure!

Fun read
Compellingly flawed characters, solid dialog and story line. A fun light read, a tad bit of formula, but leaves you rooting for love.

Make Not Part of the Plan part of your plan!!!!
This is such a compelling, warm, witty, sexy, endearing, charming, heartfelt read. Lucy Score is brilliant, and Blue Moon is spectacular! The talented and famous photographer, Niko, has come to Blue Moon to visit his pal Summer and basically take a break from his life. Apparently, a couple of weeks on a farm should shake him out of his funk and have him appreciating his glamorous life once again. If only he knew the powers of Blue Moon, he would never expect to leave this town unscathed.Emma, Gia's sister, who is managing the restaurant/brewery for the Pierce brothers, plays it safe. She wants control of every aspect of her life. The perfect man is the one who will be around to file taxes and discuss 401K plans, not the guy who ignites passion into your life. Niko is interested but Emma is not having it. Niko is not the type of man she wants anything to do with, but she will accept being his friend and only that. Do you see where this is going? I mean who are we kidding, this is Blue Moon.Where there is sexual chemistry the Beautification Committee sets to work in full force, and there is sexual chemistry no matter how Emma tries to fight it. The BC devise quite a plan for these two. It is like no other plan we have read and while Emma and Niko are waiting for the plotting on their behalf, they are left scratching their heads as to what is going on. Seriously, I love these people! The beauty of the relationships of the entire town is unprecedented. The way people look out for one another even when it is unsolicited is moving. The characters are so well developed throughout the entire series that I almost feel as though these are real people that I want to look up and hang out with. Every character flows perfectly throughout the series. The entire town is revisited so do not worry, you will get to catch up with everyone.>>>>>A beautiful and most unexpected surprise for Jax and Joey is revealed. <<<<<Emma tries to fight the developing relationship with Niko is pretty exceptional in his pursuing. I truly fell deeply in love with their story. Niko wants a love like his parents had. (Discovering his back story and how it plays out is heart-warming) Emma wants someone that won't leave like her mother did. I recommend this book, the entire series, and all works by Lucy Score. My words cannot accurately do justice to Not Part of the Plan, but you are missing out if you do not stop by Blue Moon for a spell. #Blue Mooner for life.

what's the plan?
Not part of the plan is a great book. The characters are fascinating, each one more interesting than the other. Actually the whole town is fascinating. The story is truly enticing and keeps turning ways you never expect. I definitely recommend.

Not Part of the Plan
I thoroughly enjoyed Nicko & Emma's story, it had that bit of Blue Moon craziness that kept me turning the pages.I don't think I'll ever get tired of reading this series.

An absolute pleasure to read
The thing I loved most about this book is the familiarity. Diving back into the Blue Moon series is like greeting old and very dear friends after a long absence. Everything is at once comfortable and brand new simultaneously. What an absolutely joy and pleasure. The fourth book finds the magic of Blue Moon working its romantic spell on Niko and Emma. Both of these characters have had cameo roles in a couple of the earlier books. Both are newcomers and neither are looking for the kind of whirlwind love affair they can't help but embark on.Niko and Emma are such lovely characters, that I found myself willing them to break down the barriers and embrace happiness as quickly as possible.Yet again Lucy has produced a beautiful story.

Continuing Saga
This book was good, but I got a bit bored after reading for awhile. I know this is a continuing story from the other books, and it is a romance book. I probably won't read the last book from this series. This is just my opinion though. You might enjoy this type of thing.
