Can charge and run devices at the same time.
It works really well. Tried it on a really cheap (29 pound) Chinese MOMO7W Windows 8.1 Tablet. Works both in mode 1 and 2 simultaneously having a and a charger keyboard connected at the same time.On another note, it's a really good quality product. I do have quite a lot of USB hubs and this one really looks better than the most, starting from the quality of the materials used and last but not least the engineering put into this tiny device. It's actually smaller than most of the USB hubs I've ever seen, because it's so thin.

Very good support for Nexus 10, doesn't seem to work with (old) Nexus 7.
OTG/USB and charging works with Nexus 10 but not Nexus 7 (my N7 is very old and not updated so this might be a software issue).Functionality on Nexus 10 isn't absolutely 100%, the mode switch on the Acasis unit needs to be in position 1 when powering down or else the Nexus 10 appears to power down but is really stuck in a battery-consuming reboot loop. With the switch in position 1, the device powers down normally and charges as expected. The mode switch needs to be flipped to position 3 when the Nexus 10 is up and running in order for the OTG peripherals to work.My Nexus 10 charges successfully with the mode switch in position 1 or 3 but you need to develop the habit of switching to mode 1 before powering down. In my case, I can tell when I've forgotten to do this by the fact that my external USB mouse is still illuminated after (apparent) power-down. Just flick the mode switch to position 1 and power down the tablet again to get a proper shutdown. This Acasis unit also works as a host-powered USB hub (i.e. with no external power connected for device charging) but, if you have external power connected and then disconnect the power, I find that I need to unplug and then re-plug the Acasis unit into the Nexus 10 in order for it to switch to host-powered mode of the USB peripherals.I've tried a few other OTG charger units, only this and the "4 Port Micro USB OTG Charger HUB Cable For Tablet Phone" from banggood worked at all and they both work basically the same.Overally, highly recommended for Nexus 10 users.

Recomended for Android / Raspberry Pi fans
Bought to use with a Raspberry Pi Zero, and it works flawlessly. Powers all devices at the same time (keyboard / mouse / wifi). Still not sure how the switch on the side is supposed to work but it's fulfilled it's purpose well. After a couple of weeks I started messing around with OTG features on my phone and it gave this handy little gadget a bit of extra use, highly recommended.

Functions fine in every other way
Doesn't charge and allow data with my 7in windows 10 tablet, but as others state that seems to be a gamble depending on your version of Windows. Functions fine in every other way. Doesn't feel too durable but hasn't broken yet, and it's reducing wear on the device. Did however take several weeks to arrive.

Not universally compatible / Or broken product
Product does not work on Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. It allows the block charge function, but does not charge device, nor do any of the USB ports. In either setting 2 or 3. Powered off my device and started again as per instructions. But otherwise unfortuanetly I am having to leave a bad review.

Excellent mini hub, solves issue of using devices whilst powering a tablet.
This neat little USB hub has solved the obvious issue with the Microsoft Linx tablet which has no separate power port. It allows a mouse and keyboard to be used without being hobbled by the tablet's limited battery life and recharge rate.Tested with a mouse and mini USB hub/reader with an SD card inserted, the tablet still receives enough power to roughly maintain the battery charge, as it does when connected directly to a USB power supply. Switch positions 1 and 2 appear to work the same; position 3 allows the hub to operate from the tablet's own power so it can still be used when you don't have access to a mains outlet. It works well with my powered hard-drive docking station which has card readers and additional USB ports for more devices, such as optical drives, turning the tablet into a versatile mini workstation.

The prices is good but it's a bit of a gamble
This seems quite a tricky device, only borderline compatible with some tablets and phones and the switch setting for whether it provides power passthrough is unclear. I suspect it has trouble juggling the power budget and this leads to unreliability. The prices is good but it's a bit of a gamble.

USING LINX 7 TABLET WITH WINDOWS 10... ...
USING LINX 7 TABLET WITH WINDOWS 10....I had similar problems. spent hours googling for answers to get usb data working with peripherals such as usb mouse and keyboard. Only to realize that when I was about to give up and power off Linx 7 tablet running Wibdows 10, a prompt came up saying "Install updates then power off" So I installed updates and when I restarted, the hub worked allowing battery in tablet to charge and use usb peripherals. Just keep the hub switch set to 2 and leave it there. Remember to have hub plugged in and always on switch 2 before booting tablet so it recognizes it as it boots up. The windows updater obviously installed drivers or settings for the hub and now works perfectly,

Charge and use the OTG port on an Android tablet - at the same time.
Confirms this works with a Lenovo Tab3 7". The only product I've found that lets you connect USB OTG devices to, and charge an android tablet at the same time.

All-in-all, a great little device and excellent value. Not perfect, but better than otg only!
This is a great little device, and for what it does, is an excellent value. I searched high and low for something that does what this does, until I finally found this one. Of course, that was when i started seeing a few more pop up. : - )THERE IS ONE THING....it doesn't give enough of a charge to go a very long time while your device is running hard; for example, when I only used it for a couple hours with a flash drive usb, wireless usb mouse, usb-powered external speakers, and Bluetooth running my wireless keyboard, it worked great, and seemed like it was charging. I write that it "seemed" like it was charging, because it does not SHOW that it is losing charge, i.e. if the taskbar shows the battery at 100%, that's where it stays....no matter what. Doing the same setup while connected to a Microsoft wireless adapter (minus the external usb speakers playing sound) streaming the tablet to the t.v., without warning, while still showing 100% on the taskbar, the battery drains straight down to zero, and shuts the tablet off until it is recharged again. 2 notes of mention: 1.) Put on battery-saving mode, as I am guessing this may give the warning that is necessary. I had mine turned off. This happened to me a few times, so it is not an issue of not connecting it right with a hard reset after rebooting (this must ALWAYS be done for the charge function to work). 2.) Make sure you are using at least a 2.0 amp output charger connected to the Acasis otg/charging hub. Basicaly, while acting as a pass-through, the otg/charging hub slows down the rate of charge necessary to keep up with long use, especially while doing something that is draining a lot of juice, such as streaming while utilizing otg and Bluetooth devices. Again, all-in-all, it works great for a couple hours if you have a wireless setup like I first mentioned above, and are doing browsing, or even watching or listening to something from the usb flash drive. If you are only using the hub to charge, it takes several hours (probably twice the time as with regular charging) to go from low battery to full. Remember to always do a hard reset (pressing power button to shutdown) after any reboot and/or update that takes place on the tablet. If you're in a hurry to charge your tablet, unplug the Acasis hub, and use your regular charger.NOTE: while this works with my HP Stream 8 Windows tablet, as I wrote about above, it does not even slightly work with my Samsung Note 4 android phone. I believe the phone may not have the capability to charge and do otg at the same time. The seller does make mention to research this for your device before purchase.

aktiver OTG-USB-HUB mit Alleinstellungsmerkmalen: 1. Stromversorgung per Standard micro-USB Buchse 2. OTG + aufladen
