This 100ft picture braided hanging wire is great quality and very easy to work with. It’s rated for 30lb but I always double the wire on a frame just in case so I’m certain that it can handle not only the frame/art weight but possible additional stress from handling and hanging.This braided wire was easy to work with and cut with diagonal cutters very easily. It was smooth to handle, unlike some other packaged picture wire I’ve used in the past. The bright shiny wire presents a professional appearance as well.Having worked in a gallery and wired hundreds of framed art pieces, I really liked this wire and can highly recommend it.Overall, it’s a good quantity of very good quality wire for hanging framed art.

This picture hanging wire measures .037” (about 1mm) outside, and consists of 7 wires each .012” dia. The wires have a consistent silver colored plating on them, and there is no coating on the cable. The wires are dead soft which makes them perfect for forming. It’s easy to wrap this wire back on itself to lace the back of a picture frame. With some creativity I think you could use this wire for crafts, I’m thinking of a piece of cable that is partially unwrapped and appears as vegetation in a landscape. 5 stars for this generous supply of top quality picture wire.
