Q: Please indicate likely current: 8ft 6 fibreglass dinghy two adults five kts smooth water??

This 100 ft/lb Bison is my second, and runs off 2 massive sports batteries. I have never know it to run out of battery (perhaps 2 hours at full power). We use it on on a 12ft Thames sailing dinghy (with sails dismounted), and often take 5 adults. It doesn't exactly plane along, but very nearly. Not sure of exact top speed, but it must be about 4knots. Its so powerful we sometimes go along at half power, as that is silent, and you can creep up on kingfishers.

Yes probably as long as your expectation is not to high.

Yes, this is a 24v motor, so it requires two 12v batteries in series to work.

Q: Can one buy a remote controller.

no, I don't think it is anything like smart enough controller for that. Just a plastic housed circular contact breaker
