Triathletes, ultra runners, runners! Best product ever!!
I am not a person that writes reviews, but I have to talk about this incredible product. I came across menstrual discs in a triathlon and ultrarunning forum and everyone was sharing stories about tampons or menstrual cups and between all the comments I came across two ladies that mentioned the menstrual disc. I looked it up and as soon as I saw it I thought “I probably will not get leaks with that because it is wider and it gets placed in a different spot that I think makes a lot more sense”. I have had a lot of issues with the menstrual cup. When I happened to put it on correctly it was great but many times I did not and it everything backfired leaking everywhere. This did though, from minute 1 ZERO drops of period, the period has become a non issue at all and it does last 12 hours at least, it is incredible, I still cannot believe it.The only thing that I think is crazy is that everyone knows about menstrual cups but no one knows about the discs. They should do a better job promoting it especially with athletes of Ironman or ultrarunning or any women that do sports really, it is amazing. If you can get passed putting it on the first time and tucking it behind your pelvic bone, you do not feel a thing and it is amazing. The little handle also is key!

MUST HAVE FOR WOMEN
I was an avid tampon user until I decided to take my body off birth control and let my hormones/periods do their natural thing. Since then, my period has been HEAVY the first two days. I mean, going through a super tampon an hour heavy. I don’t mind pads, but they just don’t work with every outfit/occasion. It’s so much maintenance/accidents that I HAD to dive down the rabbit hole for alternatives.I’ve tried the diva cup in the past and I was NOT a fan. Insertion and removal were both a pain and the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze. When the disk design first started coming around, I was interested but they were SUPER expensive.Thank the lord I started researching again and thank the lord that Ecoblossom seems like a company that’s just here to help women. $15 for 2 cups?! UNBEATABLE.As for the product itself, I couldn’t be happier. The pull tab design is genius, you just need to make sure you tuck the tab the way the instructions tell you for it to be comfortable. I recently was on NuvaRing for birth control (which by the way, I’ve tried ALL birth control methods and that one is by far my fav if it helps anyone), so I was pretty used to the concept of putting the cup in and taking it out. I can’t feel the cup whatsoever and if it’s in right (you’ll kind of just know) it holds much more than tampons. one downside that really doesn’t even bother me but is worth mentioning, is that putting in and definitely taking out is a bit more time consuming than other methods. But really not by much. The other, slightly more important downside is that it’s kind of messy to pull out, especially when your period is heavy like me. Changing it in public can be very difficult and not something one would wanna do. But, with how much it holds and how long you can wear it, you don’t really need to change that often.Overall, the ecoblossom cups have been a lifesaver. I won’t be turning back. This will save me so much money and so much more eco friendly. Win win win all around.

Love it better than the cup
I have very strong muscles down there and my cup was auto emptying a lot. I was about to give up on reusable products altogether because I needed to wear other things to catch the auto empty so what was the point? Well, this disc is so much better for me. It sits behind the pelvic bone vs. in the canal and does not empty until I’m ready! I’ve used it on 2 cycles so far and I can go approx. 8 hours on my regular day and approx. 4-6 on a heavy day which means, most times I’m back home before I have to empty it. I’m a fan.I agree with other reviewers, it can get messy on a heavy day empty. I use my collapsible silicone cup from monthlies to rinse it out when I’m home and away. I use the same silicone cup to sterilize it before and after each cycle.

Good for test-driving discs
The Ecoblossom disc with a loop is a white label disc. Ecoblossom is only one on Amazon offering this design in a small size. When I purchased this disc (in small- 60mm- purple) in December 2022, this was the only disc I could find anywhere that was a small size disc with a loop. This disc design is, frankly, a mess of features thrown into a disc with little understanding of what they do and how they work. My three-star rating is based purely on how terrible this disc is designed. Let's go through this disc:- RIM - it has what's called a double rim, meaning two rim loops fused together. It's firm (3.5 on Period Nirvana's scale, about the same as a Saalt or Hello disc) and moderately springy. The double rim design is copied from Nixit and Ziggy, the first two reusable discs on the market who use the double rim design. I have never figured out WHY anyone thought this double rim design is a good idea. I've found some marketing language calling it "leak-proof" but that's a lie, since leaking doesn't have much to do with this rim shape. It's just a pain to clean in the groove between each "rim."- LOOP - the loop is a great idea to add to a disc, in general. But the way it's implemented here... it's attached to the BASIN, not the rim, for one. Sure, let's attach the piece that will regularly get pulled at and attach it to the thin basin instead of the thick, sturdy rim. The basin potion that the loop is attached to is thicker than the rest of the basin, likely to compensate for this. The loop also has a really thick base. Unnecessarily thick. So thick that if they attached it to the rim, you likely wouldn't be able to pinch that part of the rim at all for insertion (which I guess is why they put it on the basin). It already makes that part of the rim a bit harder to pinch in its current position. The thick base makes sure that the loop curves against the basin and goes nowhere else. This makes the loop harder to find and loop your finger through for removal. There's also a random indent on the bottom of the loop. It almost looks like they stole the loop design straight from a soda can or elsewhere and just pasted it as is into this disc design. Genuinely don't know why it's there. For grip? Did the designers expect you to pinch the loop with forefinger and thumb instead of sticking your forefinger through the loop? The sides of the loop are quite thin and have a bit of stretch. I have doubts as to how long the sides of the loop can last before it snaps.- BASIN - The portion of the basin underneath the loop is visibly thicker and darker than the rest of the basin. It looks bad. It just looks so bad and really cheapens how this disc looks as a whole. You can't really see in the photos because they never position the disc straight on to see how this basin looks. The rest of the basin is somewhat transparent, and the thick part of the basin is not. The thick basin exists pretty much to ensure the integrity of the basin as you pull the loop to remove the disc.- BAG - it comes with a shiny satin bag that constantly left strands of thread on the disc until I flipped it inside out and washed the crap out of it. The bag feels cheap - I wouldn't be surprised if it was polyester instead of cotton. I may flame-test this one day to find out for sure. Now, does this disc work as a disc? Sure! It's not pretty, but it'll work just fine.I unfortunately never really gave this disc a fair shot. The first time I used it, I found that I could feel it when sitting down. I thought this meant that this size was the largest I could use. In retrospect, I inserted it incorrectly that time. I tried it again later on for one day and it was perfectly comfortable. However, I have other discs to try and use, so this one never got put back into rotation, especially not with the threat of having to wash the grooves in the rim.IMO, the strength of the Ecoblossom discs is to try out reusable discs at a low cost to determine if the idea/size/feature will work for you. Their regular size is 65mm, if I recall correctly (not sure why they removed this info from the listing - it's important information!) which is a good medium size to start with. There are far better disc designs out there, even among white label discs. But small round discs with a loop are still pretty rare, so this disc is still worth checking out if you think that's where your best fit might be.

Good time
This is my first disc and no real issues. This was much better than the cup that I could never get the hang of. Had sex a few times with it in just to test out the claims and it was all good, my husband said he could sometimes feel it a bit but it wasn’t uncomfortable for either of us. Also, I had no issues inserting or removing, even without using the tab.

Very easy to use + no leaks!
As a cup user I thought it was time to try the disc for the well known extra advantage that they have. Insertion was very easy, so much easier than a cup and I had zero leaks with everyday activities.Removal is also much easier due to the fact that there is no suction.I think I'm coverted. I will probably mainly use the discs from now on 👌🏻Also receiving two for such a low price js great 👌🏻👌🏻

So much better than menstrual cups
I’ve struggled to use menstrual cups before, decided to give this a try and i’m so glad i did! It’s so easy to put in because it’s small and flexible, and when i take it out from a sitting position I just hook my finger on the tab and pull gently- no more wrestling with a menstrual cup suctioned to my insides! It doesn’t even spill everywhere when i take it out because it comes out horizontally, like opening a drawer almost. I’ve had no leaks, and I can’t even feel it when it’s in. This is a winner for me!

Menstrual disc
I am a menstrual cup user and have been for 18 months , I wanted to change to the disc for more comfort as on the cup , the bit u pull to take it out has started to become uncomfortable. The disc was easy to insert however its a lot bigger than the cup , I went for the after childbirth size as I did with the cup ,,, but I have constantly leaked since wearing the disc, I have now gone back to my cup, whether it's the wrong size I don't know,, but I have never leaked with my cup,, yet the 2 days of using the disc has had me constantly having to clean myself and change due to leaking wearing it !!

Functional and Comfortable
I bought this disk to try because I was having issues with my Diva cup sitting too low and being uncomfortable when I have a very heavy flow. The disk is very comfortable to wear, though a bit more tricky to insert than your average menstrual cup due to the difference in shape and relative rigidity of the rim.I find that there is no suction to make the disk's removal difficult, but the pressure of the rim against the underside of the urethra does have the side effect of making it somewhat more difficult to pee while wearing the disk. It does not make urinating impossible, simply more intentional. That said, it is not necessarily a detractor as I'm sure I'm not the only person who has sneezed during their period and felt things shift. ;)All in all, I am finding the disk suits me better currently than a cup and suggest that anyone new to using a disk wear it a few times before first using it for your cycle so you can get used to how things work while wearing it.
