Lenovo ThinkPad T420 14.1in Core i5 2.4GHz 8GB 320GB WiFi DVD Windows 10 Professional 64-bit (Renewed)

Firstly I have waited almost a month before leaving this review.The Lenovo ThinkPad laptop was delivered in the quoted timescale in a cardboard “suitcase” similar to any brand new machine. The laptop was very well protected by an inflated “air bag”. The instructions were concise, but wholly adequate providing all the information needed to commission the laptop including a genuine MS Windows activation software key code.My initial inspection left me very pleased as the machine was in excellent overall condition and supported by a detailed diagnostics report.Using the machine for the first time was just like operating a brand new laptop and went without a hitch including the machine automatically loading all the Widows software updates. After a couple of weeks getting used to Windows 10 software I decided to download what is effectively the first service pack i.e. the creators upgrade. Again all went well.Having used the machine for almost a month I can honestly say I am delighted. The Lenovo ThinkPad is built like a battleship. It certainly would be very unlikely to win any prizes for its looks, but when it comes to substance rather than style to my mind it takes the honours every time. It's build quality, processor power/speed, screen and keyboard are simply first class.Overall an outstanding purchase.Yes it's 5 years old but its rather like a five year old AMG Mercedes Benz or a BMW 3, M series. Just like them it offers almost all the attributes of a brand new model but in this case at about 20/25% of the initial purchase price.

got this for my son, refurbed, for the money for a new one with this spec would have been £450 to £500 this was £227.all the new ones in that price bracket had less ram, no hard drive apart from cloud, and a slower processor.in general lap tops are a 3rd slower than a desk top, so a i5 desktop would be faster than a i5 laptop.you should consider that when buying a laptop because there is nothing worse than having to wait each time you click.my son says this is brilliant and fast, it has a good size HD 8gb ram and a i5 cpu it does the job and well worth the money.

Works a lot better than expected, handles light gaming well and fast for price. Had it for around a week and had no problems yet.

Fantastic Value. A refurbished product, looks like new, performs like new as described. Comes with Windows 10 pro but you have to activate it yourself. No Problem, it's just a case of entering the product key and a few clicks. I would deal with Microdreams again without hesitation.

Brought this back in May 2018, without question excellent laptop by far, yes I had my doubts about if it would last, what I fool I am yes yes yes it has lasted, fast, excellent for office, sky go, Netflix, Amazon prime, and so on, is a little heavy, that’s the only thing, if on a budget buy it, if not on a budget still get it, otherwise your throwing good money away what do you want from a brilliant laptop for this price - answer nothing

Had this laptop for over a year now and it’s quite a good laptop, just battery life isn’t that great but everything else is fine.

I have had this Lenovo Thinkpad T 420 for two weeks and there is no way that I can fault this machine , its the fastest computer that I have owned , although re-furbished it runs and looks like a new computer .

It still works and my teenage son really does use it quite a lot, takes it all over and never had any problems.
