Maybe it is a user error?
I broke the battery cover of my Dr. Beat DB 88 metronome. Instead of having to tape it up, untape it to insert 9V battery, I decided to get the AC adapter. I have two adapters for the metronome now and I have the same problem of high feedback when the metronome is in a supine position. If it is propped up, the feedback is a lot less but if it is lying down, then I get the feedback. I do not think it is a polarity problem. But other than the user error, I cannot think of any reason. I am giving it a four star rating even though I cannot use it because I am not sure whether it is my metronome that has a problem or a user error on my part.

Decent Power Supply
Bought for use with a guitar pedal, works as it should. Plastic feels kinda cheap but it was $7 so can’t complain

Fits Casio Keyboard and Works
Our slightly older Casio keyboard had a second hand power supply that made its way into the recycle bin.Found this as an inexpensive solution by matching the 9V and 800Ma requirements.Although it doesn't 'lock-in' snug to our keyboard, it works wonderfully. I added a loop of electrical tape and it stays nice and snug.If this worked for our needs, I bet it will work for yours.Just make sure to match the numbers on your current power supply so you have enough juice!
