Thor 31-710R Soft Faced Hammer, Holzstiel, Nylon- Und Pvc-einsätze, 450g, 32mm

I wasn't sure if I really needed this hammer. Turns out I did. Very handy for an array of tasks where a metal hammer could cause damage. Very happy with the purchase & nice to see 'Made in England' on the label!

Great build and feel.... Bought for chisel use when jointing timber.

Purchased to use on Rock Pegs with my awning.It's a good balance between not having to use a heavy old lump hammer and has more impact than a claw hammer and no annoying "tink tink" sound of metal on metal that reverberates all around the camping site. With the lead shot (or whatever it is inside) it makes it a lot easier to use on your wrists and definitely helps to drive the pegs in better with using less force than a claw hammer and it doesn't rebound off the pegs either when you hit the peg, so all the energy you use goes directly to drive the peg in.It's good that it has replaceable nylon heads but I don't see them needing to be changed for a very long time.Don't know why I didn't purchase one of these a long time ago!!

I read good reviews of this hammer but was a little disappointed that it feels a little... cheap...First things first - I'm using this with some Norex chisels and it's great for that. Just the right amount of feel, and easy to use.From a quality perspective, though, there's a lot of chrome veneer that I fear will end up breaking away. The Thor branding is a cheap sticker that I've already removed, and the mallet ends seem quite loose fitting.But for the price, it does what it needs to do so maybe my complaints are on me for not looking a little farther afield.For this price it's fine.

This is the perfect percussive persuasion tool for when you don't want to damage the item you are persuading. Can get different heads depending on material you are clobbering ;⁠-⁠)

Quality product

I have used Thor mallets for 35 years, but always until now their rawhide and copper faced versions. Having now gone through 3 rawhide heads ( and they are nearly impossible to replace for even a skilled user) I looked to find an equivalent. This soft grey and hard white nylon is perfect. The soft grey head can be hit very firmly against wood without causing any issue. The white is very hard and can be used against metal strikers on chisels and similar tools. The head is well balanced, and the handle which is wood, has a nice feel. I would recommend this. Different hardnesses of heads are available, and I am sure there is one for anything you need to hit.

A nice light hammer with rubber/nylon heads. I got it to use with a set of chisels for hanging doors and it's perfect, light enough to be precise, yet rigid enough to do the job with one hit. Recommended for the "one hammer does everything " kind of person, to show them you need many hammers !

Bon petit outil qui fait le job. Pas du super matériel mais honnête et qui devrait, en l'utilisant avec attention, durer pas mal de temps. À posséder dans sa caisse à outils.
