No mess and easy way to revamp clothes
I was a little dubious about putting this dye into my washing machine but it worked great. I had 2 pairs of cream trousers which I never wear so decided that rather than getting rid of them I would turn them into navy trousers. It was very easy to do: first I washed the trousers in the machine, then I put the dye into the empty drum, covered it with ordinary table salt and added the wet trousers, next I put the machine through the whole wash, rinse and spin cycle again. Out of the machine came 2 pairs of lovely navy trousers and all I needed to do was put the machine through the cycle again to wash out any remaining dye. I was a bit worried about putting in my next load of washing but no problems at all. All in all a great way to revamp my clothes and with no mess. I am already deciding what else needs dyeing - I have a few tops that I am sure would look far better in purple!

A Quality product to Dye For!!
Dylon's already of course one of the longest standing frontrunners where dying any fabric's concerened,so that's a given. However, their splendid washing machine dyes simply takes the biscuit shooting them high into the overall dye-world stratosphere because.......you no longer have to run their washing machine dyes for a total age on the higest temperature it has, which more often than not resulted in the item shrinking 2 sizes too,as they now work perfectly well on a standard 40 degrees wash producing a perfectly even coloured 'as new' article straight afterwards.Another plus & positive's this too, when you've dyed the item(s) & followed the instructions to the letter, which asks you to run it straight through a standard wash again immdiately after the dye process,I guarantee that not only does it look amazingly well transformed & re-coloured,but it doesn't run at all in the following few washes so there's no fear that you're going to part dye any more items mistakenly. So there ya go Amazonians,I totally recommend any Dylon machine fabric dye as I'm definately going to use these again 100%.

Lovely navy colour, easy to use.
This is a very classy navy colour. It did leave the rubber rim of the machine blue, which unnerved me, and I did an extra wash of darks to be on the safe side. Nothing bad happened though. Word of warning - your clothes labels may state that they are 100% natural fibres, so being suitable for this dye, but in my experience, the stitching is almost always man made. This means that you may well be left with contrast stitching if you are dying a pale garment much darker. My originally mint green linen shirt was like this, and I went over the stitching with a fine permanent marker in dark blue to tone it down a bit, which has made it wearable again. The faded white t-shirts that I put in to make up the load actually looked good with contrasting stitching, so I have left them like that.

item was a white hoodie and the dye worked beautifully, i love the how it has come out
BE AWARE..you really need to clean the machine after using really well!!!item was a white hoodie and the dye worked beautifully, i love the how it has come out.i followed the instructions on the box but it takes much more than just running the machine once on empty to get rid of the dye. after the procucts reccomended wash i then had to use baby wipes and bleach to clean the rubber seal to completely remove the dye. then after that i put a cup of bleach mixed with water into the drum and washed again on the highest wash. i put in some white towels in with it to check if they came out damaged. they didnt and now the machine is back to normal.a great product but not correct cleaning instructions on the packaging.

I would also recommend going round the rubber seal with a cloth to ...
It worked - can't ask for more BUT, this is the second time this has happened that months, after using the die bits of it suddenly sneak out of god knows where and mark your clothes in subsequent washes. Apart from the advice about cleaning your machine afterwards which I do, I would also recommend going round the rubber seal with a cloth to rout out dye which gets caught in the folds of this seal and is not immediately obvious. I found quite a bit of dye under the inner rim where the seal meets the metal of the drum.

I recon you could dye twice as much and still come out with a good navy blue
When used at the suggested strength / fabric weight ratio, to spruce up two pairs of faded navy blue heavyweight cotton shorts, this dyed a VERY dark blue....almost black. I recon you could dye twice as much and still come out with a good navy blue. Do give your washing machine rubber seals a good wipe over afterwards, (in addition to running an empty wash) as there WILL be little bits of navy residue left in the creases! Excellent even coverage....I love Dylon dyes, clothes really come out like new.

Great
I love this stuff it brings your clothes right back up like new again !Just be sure to put your machine on an extra wash by itself after you've done the wash itself coz your machine will still have dye left in it and it may go onto the next lot of clothes

Really happy with product and service
Really easy to use, lovely colour and very prompt delivery indeed. Really happy with product and service ...so much so have ordered another 2 box's to dye even more towels so I have an entire matching set . 5 *'s awarded with thanks.I used them to dye cotton sheets and towels the same colour and give new life to a once dull top and off white undies which now look brand new! No residue left in washing machine.I will readily order more if I fancy re-viving or changing the colour of my clothes. I would definitely recommend to other's inc friends and family.
