phil&teds Parade Baby Carrier, Orange

This was a bit of a rush purchase in the few days before going away on holiday but it's been worth the money. It is comfortable to wear and easy to get our toddler in and out of. The stand means we can place it on the floor to put him in and out, but it's also quite easy to get him out while it's still on your back. There is loads of storage so we can put drinks bottles and snacks in the sides and fit things in the compartment underneath (we managed to fit his whole nursery bag plus extras, or bulky jumpers and shopping items. The small toddler backpack that connects sometimes gets in the way of the main compartment but it adds even more storage and you can remove that if its not needed. It's fairly waterproof and survived a thunderstorm and torrential rain with no issues, and our toddler seems comfortable in it (and can nap in it which was our initial worry). Overall, really happy we got it. We've pretty much stopped using the buggy in favour of using this.

We bought this for our 13 month baby, he is to long for the front carriers now. He loved being able to see, and it was easy with 2 people to get this on. I have arthritis in my right wrist and will probably struggle on my own to get the carrier on unless at a suitable height. The compartment was very spacious enough for several nappies, snacks and water in the small back pack. I did not use the side zips pockets. We used this for day trips on the isle of wight, where buggies may be an issue. Really good support for your back. Easy instructions. Maybe a bit pricey but if you use it regularly it's worth it. My 3 year old could also use it however she is a lot heavier and I felt far to top heavy and unsteady.

This carrier is very trendy, strong and beautifully designed. However, as my toddler is 15 kg (3yrs), carrying her for more than 30 minutes starts to give a shoulders ache. Although this may be the same case for any sort of back carrier and it also depends on your stamina.If your baby is lighter weight, I am sure this carrier is going to be very comfortable to use. Hence I would definitely recommend this carrier for parents with younger babies and toddlers but not for older ones.

Nothing wrong with product but not suited to my partner body shape (large butt) as a hard part dug in, I had no problem (no butt) so sent back, however the box came to us damaged, I didn't file a complaint or take a picture as the product was still fine however they are refusing to process a refund for the product due to that damage.

The carrier is so deep, even at the tightest setting, there is loads of space between child and your back which makes it hard to distribute the weight and makes you lean forward when carrying it. It's strange, seems like a pretty obvious design fault.

Great Product. Our son loves it - I am 6'3, so he get to sit high and see everything from a different vantage point. Now for the real review:1. This "backpack" is light and well-made, and is also quite compact once collapsed.2. The child SITS in this carrier and does not hang in it on his legs, causing discomfort3. Great support straps on the hips, thus distributing the weight from the shoulder and back (carried out 27lbs son for 3 hours in this thing)4. Tons of pockets/storage space.5. Collapsible supporting leg, making it easier to place the child in and out of the carrier, by setting it down on a flat surface (bench, car trunk)Our only gripe is that is does not come with a canopy and that the metallic upper portion of the child's back support is not padded enough.

Es un buen producto, está hecha de buenos materiales y es fácil de usar. La uso para cargar a mi hijo de 2 años y 12 kg y camino diariamente 1.5 km con ella. La he usado para tours donde los niños de cansan de andar caminando. Pesa 2 kg y es fácil de guardar porque es plegable. Las manos quedan sueltas por lo que el niño puede ir jugando con algún juguete y su visión no se entorpece por lo que puede ir entretenido con el camino.Lo que no me gustó es que si hace mucho frío o llueve es difícil cubrir al niño. Sí se duerme el niño irá dando cabezazos para todos lados, por lo que no estará cómodo. Hay que tener práctica para poder bajar o subir al niño uno solo. He notado que si te pones una chamarra y luego la mochila se siente como si se te extrangulara la circulación de los brazos. Pero por el precio creo que está bien.

We have two little ones, so actually purchased both this as well as the phil&teds Escape carrier. We love them both as they each have features that work well for the purpose we purchased for. This one is by far and away lighter and more compact. It does, however, have the small backpack and another storage compartment to put diapers, wipes, etc. Our kiddos are both pretty small, but we have found that it works best to put the older one in this backpack as it is lighter and the Escape seems to offer more support for the baby (we waited to use until he had mastered sitting up on his own, otherwise we had him in a wrap). The Escape offers more security and support for little ones, but is slightly more heavy and bulky. Overall, we love them both and would buy again. We find it is much easier to get around than with a double stroller, particularly if you are traveling, hiking, etc.

Ordered this with high hopes but it was not comfortable at all. It sat right on top of my butt muscle and was painful. Tried to adjust for a better fit but that did not help. I think this would be a nice pack for certain size/shape adult, just not me. I'm 5'4 for reference.
