[Upgrade Version]Easy On/Off Ultra Slim Magnetic Privacy Screen Filter for Macbook Pro 13.3 Inch 2016 ,2017 2018 including 13.3 Touch Bar (Model: A1706 and A1708)

I purchased the privacy screen for my 13" Macbook Pro with Touchbar (2017 model). I received the new upgraded screen which is apparently thinner.Pros:The screen is cut perfectly to match my Macbook screen -- if it weren't for the two magnetic bars and the slit for the FaceTime camera, you would not notice the privacy screen at all. The screen is extremely thin and my Macbook closes completely and locks which is great.As an aside, I have a FaceTime camera cover and this privacy screen filter works just fine installed over top of it. I was a bit worried that I would have to purchase a thinner camera cover but this was not a problem at all for me.The magnetic connections are fantastic and was the main selling point for me as I only need to use a privacy screen for certain occasions. Being able to quickly remove/place the privacy screen on my laptop without any adhesives was my main motivation for purchasing this model.Cons:I've used other privacy screens on past laptops and they seemed to obscure/black out my screen at more extreme viewing angles than this privacy screen. With that being said, this privacy screen is very effective and the fact that it attaches magnetically and can be removed/installed quickly without any fuss more than makes up for this.I am extremely happy with this privacy screen filter and would have no problem recommending it to others.

I like that this privacy screen comes on and off easily and securely without needing any adhesive to be put to my computer. It is a far better privacy screen than the screens of those sitting around me in my class.My screen is easily read by me but looks dark to those sitting around me whereby my friend who sits beside me did not even know my computer was turned on. One person in my class (where this screen is required) actually wants to quit using the one she had already purchased and is thinking to instead buy this exact one after seeing it.I am happy with my purchase.Final things to note (1) privacy screens don't work to shield the view of people sitting behind you (as far as I know or have seen)...but that was stated in the product info, so I knew what to expcet.(2) My laptop doesn't close completely when the screen is on (I can put my fingernail in the space) so I remove the screen when I don't need to use it, and I want my computer to be fully closed.

magnetic strip is cut on an awkward angle and obscures the top information bar. I can't fully see what time is it on the top of my screen. That's sloppy and definitely NOT worth $45. The only saving grace is the magnetic feature that will allow me to take this protector off conveniently. At least removing the annoyance is not difficult to do. Also, can't full shut the laptop with the protector on. I'm heavily considering returning the product since it more annoying than useful.

Does not provide privacy. People can totally see what is on your screen from any angle. I hate that I bought this

Does not properly fit macbook pro 13 with touchbar (model A1706) even though it's explicitly advertised as fitting that model. Laptop wouldn't close properly.

The upgraded version is not as good as I thought. It is still too thick for Mac Pro,unable to close the cover fully.

The privacy screen works like any other privacy screen. Yes, it does work. There are 2 magnets located on the upper left and right edges of the privacy screen, and once the magnets attach to the screen, the rest of the screen literally glues to the monitor.Unfortunately, both magnets are located too low, and partially block the contents of the menu bar - see screenshots. It's annoying, and I couldn't have lived with it, so I tried to cut the very top of the screen, and I messed it up completely.The whole at the top of the privacy screen barely fits the camera.The privacy screen is thick enough that the MBP does not close entirely, especially if you combine it with a keyboard protector.All in all, I would have given it 4 stars if it wasn't for the issue with the magnets.
