Great bracket but wrong screw thread
The product was made of good quality metal and at the correct size compared to other similar device which only have 2 side holes , this one had three. The only problem I had the screw thread of the side holes are not the same has an industry standard found on 3.5" harddrives. the system I was fitting to had propriety fittings using the standard thread. Options are to re-tap the holes or force the screw fittings, this was hard due to the good quality metal. I will use again but will re-tap the holes first.

Cheap, works.
As you will know by looking at other reviews, the mounts work by providing the hole positions of a standard 3.5 inch drive on the outside, and the holes for mounting a standard 2.5 inch drive on to the plate itself. However, the plate assumes the smaller screws used for mounting a 2.5 inch drive on BOTH sets of holes. If your 3.5 inch chassis holes are just that - holes - you will have no problem and be wondering what the fuss is all about - this is a great product!.If your 3.5 inch chassis holes are pre threaded, you will have a bit of modding (or brute force!) to do.The fully mounted 2.5 inch drive will also sit back more than a 3.5 inch would, so you may also have issues if your SATA ports are not flexible.Having said all that I think the complaints are mostly from edge cases, so its a bit of buyer beware and check your use case before buyingOverall though, it worked for me, so full marks.

Quick, simple, robust solution...
Our business uses theses because they are a simple, straight forward solution. They are robust and fit all generic cases nicely. Good price if you are looking to install two SSDs.If you are just looking for a single one, you'll need this Amazon link:- http://amzn.to/1rpY1GOFor Quality cases we use these ones:- http://amzn.to/1rpYEAb andfor creating hot swap bays for SSDs we use this design:- http://amzn.to/1rq04ue

Good good. So what could go wrong
It's the right shape, it comes with appropriate screws, the holes are in the right places, and there's a cut-out section for the 2.5" drive's connectors. Good good. So what could go wrong? The outer holes (for attaching to the PC case are the "wrong" thread size - they are the fine, metric, M3 thread typically used to attach 2.5" drives or optical drives, and not the thread usually used for 3.5" hard disks. My PC case has a slightly custom hard disk mounting scheme, so I couldn't just use different thread screws of a standard size. It can be overcome with a good screwdriver and a strong wrist, but it turned what should've been an easy 5 minute job into a 10 minute struggle.

Side Plate Screw threads too small
I have purchased these items and found out that the comments from Mark in the reviews below are correctIf you have a PC that utilises a pull out drawer for HDD drives - these tend to have rubber/nylon inserts in the metal frame to reduce noise. As a result they use slightly longer threaded screws to go through these mounting bushes, but still use the same thread as those in the side of the 3.5 HDD drivesThe threaded holes in the plates are too small and do not match those in the side of an HDD drive. This the the flaw in the design of this product !.To overcome this I had to search through my collection of old screws to find smaller threaded screws (longer than the ones supplied) - to fit the plate so I could mount it in the existing HDD frame enclosureIf you have simple PC case mountings as those in the product photo, you can use the screws provided, but higher spec PC cases built for easier access and better air flow need the proper screw threads as found on the HDD drive itself. So this is a point to watch out for !.

OK for flexible cabling, but....
Depends on where you're going to use this. If you have 'loose' cabling to connect the drive should be OK, If however you are attempting to mount in a machine where a 3.5 drive is in a caddy and then 'slid' into place forget it. The bracket mounts the drive in the centre, so the SATA interface on the drive is in the wrong place.

These Caddy's DO NOT FIT Fixed Sata Connector Bays
These caddy's DO NOT FIT. If you are intending to use these to mount a 2.5 HDD or SSD into a 3.5 bay, they are not mounted in the correct position to allow the connectors to line up. If your connectors are loose cables then there should be no problem, but it is such a waste of my time for these to be designed so they cannot be used with fixed SATA connectors. The 2.5 drive ought to be positioned on the caddy to allow for fixed connectors.

Spot on ssd adapter
These brackets are spot on and easy to use. I would recommend to anyone who needs them for use adding more ssd's into their pc system.
