It secures the center console when doors are off works great not going to stop a theif but it does creat a need for tools and time so it may deter the snatch and grab crowd

Easily installed with existing screws. Keep in mind it would be as easily removed by a thief with a Torx head screwdriver or Allen wrench. It might be a good idea to fill in the screw heads with epoxy. This locking lid would probably not satisfy the current CA requirement for firearm storage.

I was very happy to receive this product, but once opening the package and unwrapping it from its bubble wrap I saw that it was all bent up and looked smashed. I was very much looking forward to using this product.

It went in easy & fit well. There is no way to pull the top open. You have to pull it open by pulling up with the key in the lock
