Fit well and worked as advertised, with easy, no-drill installation.

This hardware was for my 2013 Tacoma. The product was slightly different than other "no drill" hardware but in my opinion, better (see attached pics which are the driver side view).First, the "hood brackets" are handed and you must attached the "ball" on the tab. This bracket mounts to the hood using both hinge bolts. I recommend removing and reinstalling one bolt at a time so as not to have the hood shift it's position on the hinge. The "fender bracket" is simply attached using the existing bolt on the fender. Lastly, snap the struts on the balls with the cylinder toward the hood.Great mod for my Tacoma - sorry I waited 10 years to install hood struts!

It’s works and supports the hood, but leaves a gap. Tried flipping the bolt and every other possible way and no luck to close the gap.

This product is not for someone who doesn’t have a stash of washers laying around and is feint of hart as it comes with a picture as instructionsAfter about 1 1/2 hrs of fiddling around I got it to fit properlyThe bracketry is mild steel and bends easilyThe drivers did mounted up fine out of the boxBut the passenger side was bent wrong judging by the markingsAnyway I started the project and was determined to finishI think I installed the passenger side 5 or 6 times finally concluding that the passenger side needed 2 washer thickness added between the hood and bracket to mount properlyOnce I was happy with the passenger side I rechecked the drivers side and decided it needed 1 washer thickness between the hood and bracketSee the picturesIt is installed and works fine but I am disappointed in the over all quality of the product and is not worth anymore time and efffort beyond this review

It holds the darn hood up and works without having to drill any holes.

This works as advertised and is an easy install.

Neither one of the two dampers would compress, either off the vehicle or after fully assembled. They simply will not budge. I tried everything to no avail. The instructions consist of a photo of the dampers installed, abeit incorrectly apparently. Regardless, I tried them both ways, and again, no compression. Now I cannot get a refund or seller will not accept a return because I could not attempt an install until after 30 days of purchase.

The manual is a joke. It's a picture of the strut installed. My daughter bought these for her Tacoma. She said she wanted to do it herself. Looked easy enough she said. 2 hours later she was very upset and wanted to send it back. I looked at what she had done. It was exactly as the picture showed. The hood would not shut. The "manual" was wrong. the picture was incorrect. We turned the struts around and it worked fine. The struts and hardware looked to be well made. I guess we'll see if they last. Can't beat the price
