Great buildup of concepts. Great end of chapter summaries. Writing style is quite childish, but also easy to get through.Poor self-check questions. The formulation of the question and the nomination of the answer is frequently mismatched or the answers are plain wrong. Poor for a textbook.

Book arrived in great condition.It’s exactly what I needed for my biochemistry and metabolism module on the first year of uni. It explains every single detail starting from zero. You just need to have a basic knowledge and this book will help you become better! It even has exercises for you to practice. Couldn’t be more happier.

Only four chapters in for my Biological Sciences foundation degree.I was rubbish at Chemistry at school, but absolutely loved my Biology. Doing a Biology degree naturally involves quite a bit of Chemistry, so I was apprehensive about understanding the book and the concepts.So far, it's a brilliant and simply summary of Chemistry from a Biological point of view. The analogies and comparisons it makes between every day scenarios and examples are extremely useful when trying to remember the basics!

Im doing a degree in biological and chemical science. Im not a fan of chemistry. This book is saving my life. It goes through all the chemistry in an easy to understand way. It relates what u are studying to its relation in biology. If you are studying at 3rd level and find chemistry tough going the get this book. You will not regret it.

I bought this book because I needed it for my degree, and it was recommended to me by one of my lectures. I liked this product because it arrived in perfect condition, no damage to the covers or the pages. I will be using this textbook for the whole of my degree, as with the other textbooks that I have ordered. This textbook will be useful for anyone who is studying biochemistry as part of their degree.

I am studying Forensic Science, so I have a lot of chemistry. I am not very good at chemistry, but this book is just great. Topics are described very good and clear, so I can understand and learn very easily. It is divided into nice looking chapters. Clear and easy to read pictures, schemes or diagrams.
