Large amout of MSG and salt
Be careful, it contains MSG (E621). I cannot breathe after using it for soup, still sweating now.

Handy for the kitchen cupboard
A tasty, cheap alternative to real bonito stock, this is an MSG based flavouring in powder form so you don’t need to refrigerate or make your own stock fresh. The sachets are actually ten 5gram sachets rather than five 10 gram sachets like the box suggests. If you follow the instructions it gives a very watery stock. For a stronger stock I recommend using half the amount of water initially then adjusting to taste.

Good taste
Makes beautiful dashi, just ready for an influx of a few veg and maybe salmon, prawns or chicken. The size of the sachets is about right for me (Single but healthy appetite) whereas the other packets the sachets are too bg

Great product for miso soup
We’re using this product to make miso soup. Came well packaged. It has small sachets for individual usage. Taste is good. Does the job.

Japanese Ramen stock
Bought to make authentic chicken stock from scratch for Japanese Ramen - great flavour and will learn how to use in other dishes.

Good but...
It’s good, but it’s really pity, that I don’t saw there on Amazon any Dashi stock without glutamate. I think I will try make homemade, because it’s simple and it worth it.

It's ok
This stuff is OK - it does the job of helping to add the right flavour to a Japanese broth though it's also quite salty & sweet, I thought would have more umami

Taste and value for money
Easy to use for miso soup and Japanese/Korean cooking. Great time saver.
