This is a construction toy that will give you lots of fun hours and make you think of new ways to interconnect the rails. In a nutshell:pros:-stylish and automated (just press the button and the fun starts)-triggers the imagination as there are numerous ways to make a route-well made (for a toy)-rewarding once completed-fun to stare !!cons:-assembly is not for the faint-hearted, requires precise positioning of the parts, otherwise you'll have steel marbles flying around..-instructions are not so clear ,very packed together, you can easily get confused-some stages of assembly you'll have to figure out for yourself, definitely not an easy task for children (even adults with no experience in constructing and assembling)-no battery included ( that was annoying,at least for me, as it requires a "C" 1,5volt battery which I didn't have around and had to go shopping for it..)!! Key to a perfect coaster: the length of the rails you cut (the plastic white cable). If it's too short or too long ( in mm...) the route will deform, balls will escape the route and the whole construction will tilt. My advice: cut the pipe a couple of mm longer than the instructions (there is enough spare cable for this) and adjust it with some sharp pliers. Watch out for protruding edges in the cut sections (level them out) and also for the angle in curves (raise a bit the outer rail so that the ball won't fall off due to centrifuge).Don't get too discouraged by the instructions. If you take your time to examine the pieces and with the photo on the outer box you'll get a hang of it in no time.Have fun!!

Takes a lot of time to put together so if that's what you enjoy this will be good for you.Once constructed it cannot be taken apart to "do" again so that's a little frustrating.Also please note that is stated AGE 14 on the box - definitely not for young children - far too complicated

I've seldom seen such a mixed bag of reviews for a product - as many people love it as think it's a waste of money, with all the shades between. Reading the reviews, it looked like those who aren't technology-minded struggle with building the Space Coaster. I thought I'd enjoy doing so myself, and so would my husband (we're both engineers). I thought he might enjoy it in action too, because he still bemoans the fact I gave his penguin slide (remember them?) to a charity shop 20 years ago. I gave it to him for Christmas and he spent a happy couple of hours assembling it, although there was a lot of muttering about the quality of the instructions and which part was which. I didn't get a look in until I was invited to watch what happened when the battery was installed. Tweaking it to stop the balls flying off took all of 5 minutes. It is mildly diverting now it is built, but really the entertainment is in the construction stage, for adults at least. And for any cat-owners who are interested, ours completely ignores it.

I found that it was a nice and easy construction kit that kept me amused for hours. I did not find any faults in the instructions and thought they were clear and useful. It comes with pre-made corners and loop the loop so it is even easier and creates less problems. There are spares that come with it so it wont matter if you loos something. All in all it works very well and i am very happy with it. If you want a harder one after, you can choose one from, [...] This is a great product, a must have.

Awful product. Difficult to build the ball kept rolling off. Do not buy.

Fantastic item, bought last Christmas for a 10 year old, and will be buying other modelsagain this year.A bit tricky to put together but with patience we got there in the end. Still working perfectly after nearly a year.

Great product, smaller than expected and definitey not something that a 8 year old could put together. Requires adult assistance. However, great fun.

This was a big waste of money and was falling apart once it was complete. The bits broke of too easily. Would definitely not recommend it.
