Not sure where the bad reviews come from, perhaps I was lucky.Fits extremely securely to vent if fitted properly and have had no trouble with 4 years daily use!Excellent!

Worked well for a seversl weeks... but after frequent use it broke :(

Bought for a Ford Ka which has round vents but this doesn't fit. Tried in a Citroen Xsara Picasso with rectangular vents and it doesn't fit that either!Build quality seems good but a shame it doesn't work in either of my cars.Needs a definitive list of compatible cars to stop others wasting their money.

Terrible cheap craftsmanship, and I believe would only fit cars manufactured between 1970-1982. Avoid.

When I opened the (very well packaged) box I was shocked to see a high quality item. When I bought this item I was generally unsure of how it would perform as more often than not the picture can make the product look better than it is, however I have not been disappointed. The air vent gripper(???) is very well designed and I genuinely wouldn't expect anything less fro orinsong. It maintains very good balance over bumps and potholed therefore providing an excellent grip on the phone itself. Brings Phone into easier sight(whilst being non-disctracting) and stops me from losing it. Very Good product for the price point

Release doesn't work very well - springs are too weak to open the sides fully. The articulated joint on the back cannot be tightened enough to ensure the phone isn't moved by a accidental gentle knock. Both of these faults make it a pain to put the phone in and take it out of the holder. Having said that, as long as you don't touch the phone or holder while in use, it will hold the phone.UPDATE: Was contacted by the seller who offered a free replacement. The replacement unit has better springs and the release works much better. The rear joint still isn't the strongest but the replacement is much better than the original.
