Smells absolutely horrible
These smell so bad!! They're awful. I don't expect potpourri. I mean it's smoke. But it's terrible! I've used a lot of different types of materials for my smokers and never noticed any of them smelling bad. But these are disgusting. I doubt I even use the rest of the pack.

Hard to start. Short burn time.
As others mentioned this comes with no instructions so I followed tips from others and used burlap and dried leaves to help it get going. Even using small torch directly to the pellet did not work right away. When I finally got it going it was clear one was not going to produce enough smoke so I started a second one. I headed out to do a quick check of my one hive that historically has been difficult to work with and full of angry bees. I hoped the advertised calming effect would be worth the hassle of getting them started. Nope- bees could not have cared less and a couple even tried to go into the smoker spout. I was at the hive less than 5 minutes and the smoke reduced considerably. When I left and checked one pellet was already gone. Pretty disappointed overall.

Works Fine
It will work if you have nothing else. Burns up really fast.Cotton, jute, wood pellets, wood chips all works much better.

Hard to light
These pellets are hard to light and won't stay lit very long. Beware!!!
