I bought two of these one to use on each end of my 55 gallon aquarium. You touch the button and it lights up in a green LED. The temperature displays for just a couple of seconds and then it goes dark to preserve the battery life. They seem pretty accurate. They agree with one another. These stick on the outside of the aquarium glass.You can see it in the lower left-hand corner at the bottom of my tank.

These are perfect for your aquarium. For months I've had a thermometer either inside the tank, falling off the glass or stuck like a strip of stick paper and inaccurate. These have been truly amazing. Easy to apply, easy to operate. I enjoyed this product so much, I purchased more for my friends and I.I'll let you know how the battery life goes.

I’ve been a TF hobbyist for nearly 60 years- coolest new gadget I’ve seen in nearly all that time- very well engineered product- and simple to use.

We needed an external thermometer for our aquatic turtle 🐢 tank because:1. I personally don't like a lot of things inside the tank for her to mess with.2. Her 6 year old human needed something to easily read & something she could check often without disturbing 'Shelly'.This passed both of our requirements. After having had it for about a month, I can confidently say it's very sturdy & easy to read.The temperature is a little off from when I have checked it against an internal thermometer. But it's never been more than one degree.When it dies (because at some point all small self contained gadgets do), Will most likely just reorder this product if it's available.

Works well. Simple design. Easy to maintain. Is telling the accuracy of the temperature of the water no issue with the battery actually good for the money it’s worth.

I’ve tested several digital and no. Digital thermostats for my freshwater 100G. This one is very accurate, within .03 based on my tests. Highly recommended

Use a therm pen or other instant read thermometer to test the water once this little unit gets established. Mine has been off by .75 degrees since I got it but it’s always, consistently off by that amount. I think it’s due to glass thickness or some other environmental factor. Overall a nice improvement over the old-school thermometers.
