Chops well with a few pulls
Bought for camper and for when I don't want to get large heavy electrical object out of cupboard for a small job. Like pulling the chord, it feels back to basics and I pull it more than needed as it makes me smile and is a bit of a workout

All round great
Absolutely shreds whatever you put in. Perfect for me and cutting vegetables. Reduces large food prep time from an hour to 15 mins.It wouldn’t be useful to cut one thing and then put it away because you will spend more time cleaning this than if you’d just used a knife, but if you have a lot of food to cut, then it will save you so much timeYou may need to chop the veg a little bit so it fits (and then don’t overfill it). But it makes such a big difference.Doesn’t handle a small amount of wet food very well, it will all just stick to the sidesAlso it’s a little easy to injure yourself using it if you let go of the pull by accident, or you give yourself a rope burn. You will quickly learn the best way to use it and after that you don’t get hurt anymore!Very easy to clean, if you do it immediately after using it, it will take 30 seconds with a scrubbing brush under a running tap.

Broke after less than a handful of uses
This is my second one as I broke the first one by mistake whilst attempting to clean the lid thoroughly. This replacements pull handle broke with less that 10 (if that) uses and now I’m left with a product that is not useable to its full purpose. I’m very disappointed as this really is a great product for chopping up onions, peppers, fruit etc for salsa, cooking etc without all the mess.

Saw something similar on YouTube
I've seen at some Russian guy this type of kitchen gadget and I googled it and I found this one on Amazon, dude... this device is awesome. And you will be like: yea but there are electric ones. Well electric ones sucks, 1st they consume power, 2nd you cannot wash them properly and 3rd they occupy too much space with that silly cable. Sometimes technology is not really good but the above product OMG it makes it so fun to use and it delivers such impressive chopped food. I use it for salads to chop down the carrots, (garlic sometimes), pickled cucumbers (those tiny ones), radish, peppers (those fat ones) and that's all. I really need to try it with nuts too and see what's capable of. I am vegan so I didn't use that blender yet as I am not eating eggs but I am pretty sure it would do such good job. Trust me guys, this is so much better than a silly electric one because you can play with it and see how many times you need to pull the string to make it perfect. In my case for what I put inside it I pull the string 10 times then open it and push the above big pieces inside the mixture and then pull 5 times more and it comes out perfect. Use a fork to take out whatever you put in because you can take everything from that container.Thank you seller for posting this item on Amazon, it is really good. Also guys, the string ones are nice so is not just this product but I really recommend this one as it is easy to wash and has some rubber too to hold it in place. Enjoy healthy salads!

Agreeably surprised at how well this works
I didn't have high hopes for this but was agreeably surprised. For fine chopping, it did an excellent job with all the veg I have tried so far - carrot, onion, courgette, mushrooms, celery & bell pepper. I've also successfully chopped cooked ham & made a rough puree from tinned kidney beans. Rough chopping is a little less efficient. Pieces aren't simple bigger they much less evenly sized. This isn't always a problem of course. Finally, it made a very good job (with the blades not the mixer attachment) of mixing a biscuit dough - both rubbing in stage and adding liquid. The pull cord is mostly very easy. It needed a little persuasion to get started with the carrots but nothing that caused a problem.I ditched my electric food processor some time ago in favour of a powerful hand blender as the processor was too big to stay out in my small kitchen, too much trouble to set up and way too much trouble to clean. Compared to that the Brieftons chopper is a joy. Compact and easy to set up and clean after use. It is also much more effective than the (very) small processor bowl that came with my hand blender - which chops food into some big chunks and some mush. This won't do everything a powerful food processor can but for what I wanted it is ideal. All in all, I am delighted that I took a chance with this product and would recommend it for the uses I've described.

It does the job!
I don't have the Food Chopper long so have just used it once for chopping the dreaded onions for a curry. I cut two large onions in quarters first and put them in the chopper. It didn't take many pulls of the cord to have them finely chopped. This gadget definitely does the job. Be very careful when washing it as there are three blades and they are extremely sharp. Also, keep your hand out of the way after pulling the cord because it flew back and hit my hand with force. This was probably my own fault but just keep your hand out of the way. This is definitely not a gadget to let children use. Overall, I give think it is great.

Great time saver
Love this product, had been struggling to chop onions (knife skills are not the best)! ... Can honestly say that this has been a god send for chopping onions fine enough , e.g Indian curries.
