QEDPerformance Digital Audio Cable 1 m

Despite previous experiences to the contrary, I refused to believe that a digital interconnect could have an audible influence on sound quality, so for the last 2 years the link between my Cambridge Audio CXN network streamer and Roksan K3 DAC has been a proprietary cable, probably purchased for under a tenner. Then it developed a fault, so I decided to take a punt on the QED cable, based on What Hi-fi reviews, but fully prepared to know I'd been taken for a mug.I could not have been more wrong. The instant I hit the play button it was evident I'd been living with huge levels of cable-induced jitter for years and blaming everything but the cable.Gone were the hissy sibilants and splashy cymbals at the top end and forever banished the nasty edge to the upper midrange that could make vocals so tiring on some recordings. Gone also was the bass bloom that was often evident, replaced by taut well controlled bass that presented itself with glorious note by note clarity and precision.I don't think any other cable I've ever purchased has made this much difference to my listening experience. Have been chasing this level of sound quality through various amp and speaker upgrades while that pesky cable was the weak link all along, and the upgrade only cost me .004% of overall system value!If you're wondering whether you can justify the cost of this cable purchase, it has my unreserved recommendation.

Connecting iPad to amplifier, sounds better than Bluetooth so worth it.

So over the last week, I have tried 2 different digital coaxial cables. The Chord Clearway coaxial, which costs around £95, and this the QED Performance Digital Audio cable, and after listening to both, I cannot hear any difference between the two. But more importantly, I cannot hear any difference between my the two coaxial cables and a free Toslink cable that I also have plugged in.Now, I realise that these are not the most expensive cables you can buy, but I have come to the conclusion that there is no difference in sound, between the two coaxials, and it is just 0 and 1 being sent from my Bluesound node x and my Burson Audio Conductor x3 Performance.My guess is if I bought a cheaper 75ohm coaxial cable, it would sound exactly the same, in fact speaking to an audiophile friend, he says exactly the same thing, when he tested a cheap and expensive coaxial cable.So I can't give this a great review, it works sending a digital signal, but there is no miracle sound it is still £38.90 and I could have probably saved some money and got the same sound.

Nie znalazłem różnicy w dźwięku między nim a Amazonem za 30 zł. Kable cyfrowe nie wprowadzają różnic w odbiorze dźwięku. Po co wydawać ponad dwie stówy za 1m kabla.

Ho acquistato questo cavo coassiale digitale della britannica QED (QED Performance Digital Audio) per collegare il mio CD-Player Onkyo Integra DX 7711 ad un nuovo DAC esterno. Mi sono orientato su un cavo al quale What HIFI? ha attribuito il Best Buy Awards nel 2007 e nel 2012 in una delle tre sezioni (USB, ottica e coassiale) dei premi dedicati alle connessioni digitali. Visto che avevo già comprato di recente un cavo RCA audio della Atlas (Element Integra) che aveva preso l'Award per addirittura tre anni di seguito e che personalmente giudico eccellente dal punto di vista sonico (nel mio impianto), mi sono deciso per un altro cavo che avesse ricevuto un Award di What HIFI?.La cosa che devo segnalare è che Amazon vende questo QED un pò sotto traccia, senza particolari enfasi e nemmeno senza dare molti dettagli. Ho dovuto confrontare il codice prodotto (QE6200) direttamente sul sito del produttore (in particolare alla pagina 12 della brochure con tutti i cavi della casa britannica). QE6200 corrisponde al coassiale da 1 metro, mentre il codice QE6201 corrisponde alla lunghezza di 3 metri e il codice QE6202 a cavi di misura variabile tra i quali scegliere. Quindi dalle foto che ho fatto si può capire meglio quale cavo si sta per comprare: spero che ciò possa essere di qualche utilità a qualcuno.Il cavo mi è arrivato un giorno prima della data prevista da Amazon. In scatola di cartone al cui interno ho trovato il cavo nella propria confezione originale. Il tutto mi sembra molto ben costruito e confezionato. Il QED Performance Ditigal Audio è discretamente flessibile e le connessioni sono ben salde. Il colore viola ovviamente fa capire immediatamente che il produttore non è superstizioso.Collegato il CD-Player al nuovo DAC devo dire che sono entusiasta della qualità del suono che adesso ho ottenuto. Sono ancora euforicamente fuori di testa e del tutto soddisfatto del DAC con Burr Brown 32 bit 192 kHz sull'entrata coassiale e devo dire che questo QED contribuisce efficacemente al risultato finale. Dopo un adeguato periodo di rodaggio chissà quali dettagli musicali mi farà sentire!In sintesi: cavo digitale coassiale di qualità, ben costruito e soprattutto ben suonante. Il prezzo Amazon è del tutto adeguato e allineato al prezzo di Amazon.UK o di famosi negozi online specializzati in cablaggi della perfida Albione. Mi sento di consigliare questo cavo che tra l'altro è garantito a vita.

Il cavo si presenta in una veste accattivante, ma c'è anche tanta sostanza! Robusto ma anche flessibile al punto giusto, il suono restituito appare naturale e privo di colorazioni.
