Great strings, bit harsh on your fingers but they do sound good, the sound and tone of your bass will be elevated

Excellent strings just as expected.Light enough for slap but still plenty of thump .

The biggest worry of bass strings is if they actually sound good, more so a worry then on guitars. Found these cheap on here and took the dive. So glad I did, the only thing I say caution to is the red banding wound the bullethead and near the tuners. I personally usually keep them on but those of you may find it looks weird and this set comes with them by default. The bass actually sounds like what I wanted when I started with bass, but could never achieve the sound. On the fingers they feel really nice too.

I've used these strings for years, this is not really a review for the product, I already knew they were brilliant, this is more about the superb value buying through Amazon!

I never buy anything else for my old JB.....would always recommend these high quality iconic strings....go on....treat yourself!!

Great sounding strings, though the bottom E was faulty. I've never experienced that before in 30 years so we'll call it an anomaly.

I find them to be a bit rough on the fingers. the only other time I felt the same thing was last year when I bought a cheap set at £7 a pop.!! Bear in mind I have been playing roundwounds since they first came on the market,so I have a bit of an idea on the subject.

I was Alway PBass player. Never actually enjoyed the Jazz Bass. However, I ended up getting one. G&L Jazz.Great looking and plays well. The only thing it disappointed me with, was the sounds it created for bass.Way to mellow and missing something for excitement. It had the G&L strings on it and some one suggested Smith strings.Neither one excited the tone.Well, I always used Rotosound strings on all my Pbass's so I went for a set. This set because I remember this gauge being slightly bolder than their lighter gauges.BAM ! That was what it needed. Played the dam Jazz for over an hour and it is now a pleasure to play.I Highly recommend these strings. Not too heavy, great overall tone and not bad on the fingers.Glad I put these on.
