Portugues XXI - Nova Edicao: Livro do aluno + CD 2 ed. 2014 (A2) Paperback – Illustrated, 2 July 2014

Very useful to have the audio CD in the back. The grammar explanations could be a bit clearer and more thorough, but the texts are interesting. It's a good book to use if you have a teacher to help you, although not so useful for self-study.

There are three books ( 2 at each level + CD) in the series. As someone trying to learn portuguese they are very good. In conjunction though with other textbooks and say a good dictionary.

Bought this for a course I am taking. I expected the new version would comply with the agreement between Brazil and Portugal to standardise the language. It doesn't do this. As with the other Portuguese language books of this publisher it is entirely in Portuguese and has a six language dictionary at the back. It isn't really suitable for self teaching. Unless you are a linguist with a good grasp of romance languages already.

The book is good, but really old-fashioned. I would not choose this if my course didn't mandate it.
