A quality product.
My original beaker developed a crack after many years of use and I feared that I would have to replace my French Press until I found this item. It replaces the original perfectly, the only quibble, if it can be described as such, is that it seems to be made of slightly thicker glass which means that it must be pushed down firmly to get it to fit snugly into the bottom of the holder. However, the thicker glass means that it will probably be less liable to crack if accidentally tapped whilst being washed. Overall, a very good buy and thoroughly recommended.

Stronger than original but that causes a problem
This No Spout replacement beaker for the Bodum 8-Cup (1L) Chambord Cafetiere appears to be a genuine article. However there is an issue with the design and manufacture of the new one over the old in that the new one has a thicker rim around the top (no doubt to make it less easy to break) which means that it sits a little higher in the stainless steel holder. This prevents you from being able to rotate and lock the plastic top which contains the spout into the grooves in the top of the stainless steel holder - hence the 4 stars rating.

Just what I needed!
I needed to replace a plastic beaker in my ancient Thermos cafetiere which had cracked. Since Thermos no longer sell these, or do spares, I had to find an alternative part. Having measured the old, no spout, beaker, the 1 litre beaker was (almost) exactly the same size. An extra silicone gasket was all that was needed to complete the repair. The packaging was better quality than I expected and had the Bodum name on it, so not an unbranded compatible. It is definitely borosilicate because I pour water from a just boiled kettle straight into the beaker and ground coffee. it has coped with this for over two months now and it is in daily use. If I should ever need to replace it, then I would definitely get another one of these.

Shame that Bodum have stopped making this cafeteria
They no longer fit into the Bodum cafeteria as they made the bottom of the glass slightly round so they will not sit in the holder flat. The top of the glass sits proud above holder which means you can no longer lock the lid of the coffee pot into place which men the coffee will just pour everywhere as there is no spout to pour through. I did here see from one customer in the Amazon reviews that Bodum have stop making this style now.

Fits but you need to immerse in hot water to do so
This is the product that we wanted (spoutless) and we are happy with the product but BEWARE the fitting procedure. Some reviewers have sent back product but it can be made to fit relatively easily. At first it doesn’t seem to fit into the old frame because of a lip around the top of the glass replacement that leaves it proud from the frame, meaning that you can’t attach a screw-in lid/plunger safely. We’d gotten used to taking our old glass in and out of the frame for cleaning, so this seemed odd that it didn’t slip in easily. The box notes that you have to immerse the frame into hot water and then add the glass replacement when the frame has had some time to expand. I assume this is to keep the glass as secure as possible in the frame. We left the frame submerged in hot tap water for a few minutes and then pushed the glass replacement in with a little force. It now sits securely in the frame. I guess this is a reminder to read the instructions on the box, but it’s not the easiest way to attach the glass.

Initially glass seems too tight to fit
Good price. Fit perfectly once I filled them with boiling water left them for a bit then eased them into my Bodum Bean cafeterie
