i'm in a working band (60 gigs a year) and use 3 overdrives: the soul driven is my "pushed" sound. OCD for classic rock and Wampler Soveriegn for any heavy tunes.the xotic soul driven is great because it cleans up with a slight roll off on guitar volume - just a nice versatile pedal. for what its worth i like it better that my ibanez tube screamer or DMBL pedal.i use an xotic strat style guitar with a humbucker and a tone king sky king amp.
