Chairs are perfect height for counter at 26”. Quality hardwood unfinished product ready for stain or paint. No sanding required. Assembled in 4 easy steps. Pre-drilled holes made assembly a breeze. The only complaint is minor- the seat didn’t have pre-drilled holes . We searched for stools for months and these are the best quality for value we found. Amish made unfinished stools were more than twice the price and don’t swivel. Rubber wood is in the maple family and these chairs are very strong & hard wood. Would definitely buy from this company again!

These stools are very sturdy and attractive with smooth swivel seat movement. We stained and varnished ours to match the kitchen island - they look very nice. If you are looking for comfort, however, you might want to add a thick seat cushion. (but that is just my opinion). Unfortunately, that raises the height of the seat by a few inches, so take that into consideration. The foot rests are nice and well-made, but I don't think they're designed to use for getting onto the stool. The taller members of the family have no problems with the additional cushion height. (I'm 5/6") Again, they look great, are well made and some may be perfectly comfortable with the wooden seat.

Very nice quality wood. Assembly was easy. I used custom stain to match my custom cabinets. Stools took stain well without sanding. I wanted a rustic look and parts of the wood are mismatched grain style, though that is the look I was going for. The seat is a bit more of a dull finish (I used Shellac as clear coat). Lots of compliments so on the stools. 24 inch was perfect for my counter island. My only complaint is there was an excessive amount if shipping stuffing in the boxes (bubble wrap, cardboard) that was cumbersome.

I really can’t rave about these barstools enough. We bought a house and these stools are by far my most favorite purchased addition.These are very heavy , very sturdy and worthvthe assembling time. I personally adore them unfinished, but Hubby wanted more protection and coated them with defathane and wow, did that really bring out the natural wood color and didn’t darken them too much like I was worried about.

Super quality, wood screws are kinda flimsy but good enough to hold chair together. Chairs have beautiful grain. I researched kitchen island chairs and these were the best I could find. I put some round cushions that I had on them for additional comfort. Everyone likes the chairs, very well made. Fit together well, do not wiggle at all. Sturdy. I like these chairs very much. Assemble them before spraying. Seats rotate all around easily. Would buy again.

Absolutely amazing quality. I don't know what kind of wood this is, but it's very dense and heavy. There wasn't a flaw in any of the wood. It was fine sanded as it arrived, ready for stain or paint. I'm going to white-wash mine a hair lighter than in the photo, then wax with a furniture grade paste wax. I only take that much effort on a piece of furniture the quality of which warrants such effort. I am impressed.The packing was also great as well. I received my two chairs within 6 business days and a tracking # was e-mailed very shortly after ordering.If you think this chair looks nice, just know that it is better in person. I just can't say enough about how satisfied I am with this selection.

I love the natural wood, it's got a beautiful grain. I love the sturdiness and the thickness of the chair, it's not going to fall apart on me any time soon. The chair is very tall, a little taller than anticipated but am happy.

Chair is heavy. Swivel doesn’t work and Amazon will not replace or allow a refund. I would not recommend.
