The safety protector really works!
I bought these 4 gauge cables hoping they wouldn't melt like cheaper cables sometimes do. The long cables are amazing! It was 80 degrees yesterday. This morning it dropped down to the 30's. I saw a man with his hood up. I asked him if he needed a jump start. He replied yes, but he was confused because his car was blocked in from all sides including the front. I pulled my car directly behind his Suv. With the long cables I was able to boost his battery with no problems. I was impressed with the safety protection. The light turned green and then I knew everything was connected correctly on my car. My wife's car has thebattery in the trunk. Sometimes jumper cables don't connect easily. With the light you will know if things are good. The safety protection is the reason I bought these cables instead of regular cables. I wanted the safety protection for my wife's benefit. I definitely don't want her to get hurt by hooking up the connections incorrectly. I didn't want her to be stranded or be afraid to use jumper cables. She has a coworker who had issues with using jumper cables. Her battery was dead. The coworker and her husband managed to burn up both of their cars by trying to use jumper cables to boost up the battery. It could have been numerous issues causing this including cheaper cables and the connections beinf hooked up incorrectly. They both had to get another car after the fire. After that incident, my wife is nervous at the thought of using jumper cables.
