Needs a USB 2 port!
I have a desktop and a laptop that have all USB 3 ports. I received a message informing me that this device is too old and it needs to be plugged into a USB 2 port. Also, no big deal but it's silver, not gold. Was wondering why it was only $6.

NOT BROADCOM!!
The description says this has a Broadcom chipset, but it actually had a Cambridge Silicon Radio chipset. Yes, the picture shows CSR, which is also printed on the one I received, but I was not familiar with Cambridge Silicon Radio as a chip manufacturer, so I did not know the significance of this. This made the device incompatible for my purposes. If you don't need it for a specific purpose, it won't matter. Another review mentioned receiving a silver dongle, while mine was gold. I would not trust this seller. It seems to me like they will just send whatever BT adapter they have at the moment.

Worked great with my mid-2010 iMac
Plugged it into my mid-2010 iMac. Turned bluetooth off then back on again in System Preferences. Started working right away. Tested it with a BLE mini program, and everything checked out. Simple!

works for pc bluetooth
Bought this to hook up a playstation controller to my pc using bluetooth. Do not use the included cd if using windows 10 as it will cause problems. Works as intended bo problems.
