Awesome Little Board, just what I needed AND the Cats Can't Destroy My Game
I had never played chess until a couple of weeks ago when I was asked by a certain owl on a language website if I was practicing my chess. Chess? I didn't know I was supposed to practice chess, I was only taking French, but the owl said to do it, so off I went to an online chess site. Free lessons. I took one. then another, and the next thing I knew, I was ordering a chess set so that I could practice IRL. I provide this history because it's important to know that I'm not anything close to a chess player yet, and I am not even good enough to be horribly bad. This chess set is perfect for what I need right now, and if you're just beginning or you can actually play without embarrassing yourself, this is a great little option, easy to cart around, travel with, etc.. The pieces stay in place, it's magnetic enough, super easy to carry around, and the cats have only tried to steal the pieces a few times. Of course, the magnets aren't strong enough to keep an adult cat from pushing them around but the magnets are strong enough to keep the pieces on the board under normal conditions. I also like the green & white (I've read that is the best color option for new players). And, very important stuff: the horse is good. I actually bought two sets prior to this and returned both. They were supposed to be "the best", but were not magnetic, not easy to carry around from room to room, and also, the horses weren't as they appeared in the photo for one of the sets (it showed flying mane, but nothing of the sort). So this set is the one I'd recommend over the much pricier "best" ones if you just want a portable little option with a good horse.

A Keeper
This was the third and last set of chess we purchased to try it beforehand for a summer trip to French Polynesia. It is extremely functional, perfect size for travelers, it closes tightly, is easy to put away, and comes with beautiful pieces. We played at the airport and on the plane. I would definitely purchase this set again and other products from this manufacturer. It has become our go-to set on a daily basis. No need to spend more money on other sets. This one is perfect and of great value.

Great first travel set
The media could not be loaded. This set is a pretty much exactly what I wanted to keep at my work desk and maybe take to the bar I go to since they have chess sometimes. I also love that it comes with a little instruction paper making this a good gift set for a first timer. The pieces are of decent quality. My flaw with the set I received is that the 2 in the video have a slight wobble as their magnet isn't fully flush on the bottom. (If they send me 2 replacement black pawns I would likely 5 star the review.).The pieces move nicely despite their smaller stature and have that nice sound of contact as the magnet pulls it to the board.Putting the pieces away isn't perfect every time as you may have to squish the bag around to properly seal the board when clasping it closed. Not a flaw necessarily just something to keep in mind so you don't try to close it with too much force and possibly snap a piece. I just knead it down gently and attempt to close the board once more which is usually successful.Keep in mind the fact it comes with a carrying bag for the pieces is a bonus as you can carry them separately outside the board if desired, use it for other small pieces you may have (I have a similar wooden set of pieces that would work great on this board), or simply keep the pieces from being tossed about inside the closed box if you did not have it. I prefer this over the foam inserts for sure that some boards use for storage instead.tl;dr don't have high expectations and this will feel perfect for bang for buck value.

Price and quality are great.
Purchased for my grandson, quality is nice the pieces remain stored inside for travel, and the green and white board gives it a nice look compared to black and white.

The perfect traveling chess set.
For $10, what is not to like? This set has nice pieces and work with the size of the board nicely, the board is fairly large for a travel set which is nice, the green squares are not too dark as to not give enough contrast to the black pieces, the shiny-ish board is kind of a nice touch, pretty much just perfect. Total length of the set is 9.75” which perfectly fits in a book bag. Would also make a great desk study board.

Perfect for study on a small desk
What problem was I trying to solve? I needed a set that was small enough to fit on my desk, in front of the keyboard, so I can study while in front of my computer. In 2016, I bought a set for my daughter for $11. The pieces are silver and gold. The high visibility and contrast is a good feature. (Brand = U3? Item No. 3810-A)The QuadPro is the same size. It comes with 2 extra queens and a pouch. The pouch is handy. All the pieces fit in the pouch and the box/board shuts perfectly with little effort.I still find the contrast to be better with the silver and gold pieces, but since the board is green that is not really an issue.I am happy with the QuadPro!

Great Little Set
We all want a full sized set that magically fits in a matchbox, ain’t going to happen. But this board has a solid metal top, I prefer the green, the squares are not stickers, there was the tiniest ding when delivered, but the pic is me holding it up like a book in bed during commercials. It’s a great little set at a great price.

Magnets too weak
The magnets are so weak that this is not a set I'm going to want to take anywhere with me, the chance of losing pieces is just going to be too high. Likewise around the house because of my cats.
