Fantastic Quality for the Price. Easy install, keeps out the rain!
I needed a rollup vinyl cover because, unlike hardtop or trifold covers, the rollups take very little room in the bed of your truck when not in use. This was the least expensive cover that had good reviews, so I decided to take the risk. Glad I did! Excellent quality, even surprising. Fit beautifully, easy install. Materials are thick and substantial for a rollup cover. The cover rolls all the way up when not in use, and secured by the included straps takes up almost no room. The week after I installed it we drove 2200 miles, half of it through the remnants of Hurricane Isaias in and around PA. Drenching rain so thick you could barely see to drive, but scarcely a drop entered the bed of the truck. None of our luggage was wet. At 75mph there was a little flapping of the cover, but no more than any other covers that I saw on the road, and it presented no problem even with 30+ hours of driving at highway speeds. My one problem with install was that the frame near the tailgate ended up being too wide for the latches on the cover. In order to secure the frame tightly to the built-in truck rails, you have to screw the frame all the way in to the rails with the included brackets (no drilling). I could see no way to adjust the width of the frame near the tailgate, and it ended up that the latches on both sides of the cover did not reach the notches in the frame. So I had to use a composite shim to bring the two sides of the frame closer at the tailgate so that the cover could latch in. I have a picture of the shim below. Perhaps there is a fix for this, but the instructions were not very clear, so I made it up. Still, it was a quick and easy fix and in my opinion did not detract from the overall quality. I still give it a solid five stars.Pros: Great quality materials Kept out hurricane levels of rain driving at highway speeds Looks great Rolls up completely out of the way Easy to install No drilling – included brackets secure the frame to the built in truck railsCons: Needed to insert a shim to bring the frame sides in to fit the cover. Instructions were not the clearest, but you still got the idea.

A Well-Made Cover at a Great Price
I received my North Mountain tonneau cover for my 2014 Toyota Tacoma today. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I has previously emailed the company (and received an immediate and satisfactory reply) about which type of clamps came with the cover. I have a Tacoma with factory installed bed rails and wanted to make sure that the clamps that came with the frame were the type that fit into the existing bed rails. They are smaller and less visually intrusive than the generic ones. The North Mountain person who emailed me back said that she would look at my order and make sure I had the proper clamps. The cover was fairly easy to install. I don;t have a lot of patience at times and tend to skip over steps when I think I know how something should be installed. That was a mistake with installing this cover. It is important to follow the steps pretty closely, especially with the last part about making certain that the distance between the rails at the tailgate end is exactly the same as at the cab end. Otherwise the parts won't intersect properly and the cover won't lock well or won't be tight. So after fumbling a bit with that part, I finally got everything lined up and tightened properly. There is a small sliding component at the very end of the tailgate rail that can be adjusted to make certain the cover closes with a good connection. I had to make a minor adjustment and tighten down that as a final step. Now everything look snug, tight and very good on the truck. The quality seems to be very good. All of the parts are modular so if anything did break in the future it appears that it would be fairly easy to fix it. For a little over a hundred dollars, this seems like a real bargain. It rolls up well and with the straps and buckles, the whole thing forms a neat package behind the cab when it's not covering the bed. The material seems very heavy and the sewing, Velcro, and cross-rails are all excellent quality. So I am very impressed. Time will tell how it holds up but there is no reason to think that it won't last as long as covers costing 2 or 3 times as much.

quality product
fairly easy to install.. the instructions could be a lot more informative. such as how far back to put the rails.

For what you pay, it's pretty darn good
Wanted an inexpensive roll-up tonneau, mostly just to keep the worst of the elements out and keep lightweight items from getting beat up by the wind, while also retaining as much bed space as possible when not deployed. There are a couple issues to note. First the foam tape provided does not seal bottom side of the cover to the top side of the forward section of the bed. It leaves a small gap of about a quarter inch, though the top portion of the cover does press pretty firmly against the back of the cab so it's not too bad. Secondly toward the back above the tailgate, it comes up a bit short. There is flap intended to seal this area, but it doesn't really work well and leaves a small gap. That said I drove at rural highway speeds in light rain with no intrusion, and it has been parked in heavy downpours and kept the bed dry. If you're okay understanding it seems to keep things mostly dry but in some conditions it might let a small amount of water in, then this should fit the bill.Install can be a little finicky but probably par for the course with this type of cover. I recommend getting most everything hand tightened in first, and then crawling underneath and fully torquing everything at the end. Once installed it is very easy to use.For around two bills I'm pretty chuffed with the look and quality of the parts, and the fitment is decent enough.
