I have two kids and a husband to take care of in the morning as well as myself. Taking time to make the water on a stove was not convenient enough.This is the first electric kettle I have bought and it is wonderful because it has the automatic shut off when the water is boiled and ready. Boiling from room temperature is really quick and I usually will set it to boil while I go brush my teeth and it will be done by the time I’m ready.I was looking for a fully stainless steel interior. Without breaking the bank this was a very good option.The interior and the top is stainless steel. There is a little hole where the lid attachment is that has a hole in the stainless steel at the top and if water goes into it it does touch plastic. However that is above the max level line and if you don’t overfill it and you don’t tilted the wrong way water would never touch that area.The exterior is a very lightweight cheap plastic, but that is the exterior and does not come in contact with water so it does not matter to me. It’s probably how they were able to keep the price so cheap for this item.The other comment that I’ve noticed is that people say that it’s not really stainless steel and it’s rusting on the inside. It is not rust it is lime scale. You need to clean it with a certain ratio of lemon and water or vinegar and water to clean it up. You can Google it, I usually do the vinegar version because I do not always have a lemon on hand. But it has worked for me when I started noticing there were some spotting.After researching all over for a well priced product that is stainless steel interior container and lid, this fit the bill

This kettle is very smart and ultra stylish and makes a nice change from the glass ones ones I've had for a while. Being an avid English tea drinker, this kettle is on many times during the day and is holding up well. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that it takes a long time to turn off when it's boiling, far longer than any other kettle I've ever owned. But as far as looking good goes it's definitely a 5 star.

We love it. Simple, just boils water. The sage color is adorable! It's a nice accent in our oak kitchen, love it.

Color is cute. I ordered this kettle as housewarming gift to my brother and sister in law. They loved it until a couple months ago it started to dribble really bad at the spout while pouring. I was with them over the Christmas holiday and witnessed how bad it was. We can't figure out why or how this is happening. But boiling got water dribbling out of it isn't a safe or good feeling. I'm just sorry it happened so late. Otherwise I would return it and shop a different brand. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else. I contacted the seller and was treated very poorly, insulted as ifnto say it was user competency. I'm a 48 year old woman who drinks teas daily and knows how to pour a kettle full of boiling hot water. This kettle was defective and I was treated as if it were my fault it wasn't working properly. I was refunded half what I paid for it. Having only had it for 10 months and all of a sudden it started dribbling, if it were indeed me causing the problem it would've happened from the start.Purchase at your own risk. I bought a different kettle different brand completely to replace.
