Silverline 633922 Precision Screwdriver Set 9pce 110 mm

Quite pleased with this pen screwdriver such a good price and value for money too !I Will keep this in my bag very handy !!

I'm always looking for my micro screwdriver sets and this offers nine heads nicely contained in one pocket tool. Another review mentioned the difficulty of getting all nine bits stowed away in the handle sufficiently to enable the end cap to be screwed on. A bit of commonsense in the order and direction they are stowed easily resolves that problem. I would have given this tool five stars except that one screwdriver bit had some burrs on it that prevented it from fitting into the business end of the tool - that was easily resolved with a few quick strokes of a metal file but I've knocked one star off for that. It may not be top quality but for not much more than an overall cost of three pounds, this tool is good value for money and I am happy with my purchase.

To explain how easy it is to install - I'm partially blind and managed to install this in less than 5 minutes (screws and wall plugs come included in the box) - There is a simpler alternative way to install just by using the double sided tape provided also but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that the tape will loose it's adhesive strength !

The variety of available heads is the big plus for this item, and also the ease of fitting and using

unfortunately i'm unimpressed. I brought mine for use in opening watch cases. even the smallest bit in the set is not small enough to fit the Phillips and flat head screws in the back of my watches. the actual screwdriver body isn't bad at all, feels solid but the finishing of the object itself is ragged and unrefined. My problem is with the screwdriver bits themselves, on first sight the bits look cheap and badly finished. they are by no means, precision. for example, the 1mm flathead bit has a bent shaft and the thickness of the flat head is such that it doesn't fit into the flathead recess of a screw, even tho the 1mm width is ok. The smallest Phillips bit also has the same problem, the point of the Phillips screwdriver bit is so big that it wont fit into the recess of a Phillips screwhead. Silverline has obviously made these screwdrivers very cheaply and the finishing on them is definitely not as precision as it should be.

Very cheap product that has so far served me fine. However the pocket clip snapped off almost immediately but I made another with a paperclip in a MacGyver fashion. The bits themselves came in handy for taking apart a blackberry (i'm and IT tech) and other IT kit, however they are very cheap and I have managed to strip one bit even though it was the perfect size and was not abused. A little dissapointed but not surprised given the extremely cheap price of the item. Would recommend choosing a better made item as this is more of a one or two use then throw away product.

For the price of this tool I wasn't expecting too much and I'm pleased to say that I have been pleasantly surprised now that I've received & used mine. It's a nicely machined tool with an above average quality set of driver bits which fit nicely inside the tool handle. I've paid more than this for tools in the past and they haven't been nearly as good, plus Silverline actually offer a `guaranteed forever' warranty on the product if you register it online so they must have faith in it - other Silverline products that I've bought have all proven to be decent too. I can definitely recommend it for small screws in glasses, electronics etc, and the Torx T8 driver fits my Nokia phone too.

A useful Screwdriver with a wide selection of screw bits and yet takes up so little space. My only complaint would be that the blue colour of the tool made my finger tips blue when some of the colour came off.
