Replacement Pure DAB Digital Radio 9V / 9 Volt Mains Battery Charger Adapter Adaptor Power Supply Cord (60986) for Select Radios (Models Stated Below)

The original adapter broke, not the best quality, so I was looking for a stronger type, I also found the original adapter cable was a bit too short.This adapter has now been used for the last week and I can report that it works really well.The cable is much longer than the original, meaning I can now position the radio where I want to. The fact that the adapter is designed with the adapter and cable separate, not the all in one block means I can also simply replace the wall cord when I go to my house in France, no travel adapters needed, never that confident with travel adapters. The adapter has a worldwide usage of 100-240V. It does not overheat, I have not even unplugged it yet, and that gives me real confidence.There is not alot more to say about a simple adapter product, it does the job well.

When my trusty Pure Digital radio stopped working I thought I might have to replace the whole thing but bought this instead thinking it might just be a cable issue. Sure enough it works perfectly and I have saved myself a load of money. The cable is bulkier than my original one but I am hoping this means it is sturdier and will last well.

It works, but the connection is a little loose, so needs replacing frequently.

Replaced my 12 year old adaptor which weighed a ton and whose earth plug substitute had gradually sunk into the adaptor itself. This is ways better, light, and doesn't get as uncomfortably hot as the original. Just triple check you need the 12V or 9V version before replacing (info on the back of the DAB near the plug point).

If you are tempted to buy the "official" power supply from Pure - don't bother, buy this product. It seems more robust and does the job.This will be third supply purchased for my radio, the other two provided by Pure were flimsy and didn't seem to be able to stand what I regard as fair wear and tear.

Don't believe all of the descriptions of the Pure models this mains charger suits. It has a relatively low power output and is not suitable for my PURE Chronos CD DAB/FM/CD/MP3 Stereo Clock Radio which needs 1350W at 9V. This one is rated at only 700W.
