I brought this to retry my hand at Italic writing, as I was taught Italic writing in the Very Early 1960's, lol. I originally had an Osmiroid 65 Italic pen. I didn't expect much for the price paid. I must admit it was better than I thought it would be, a little scratchy but seems to work fine. It initially used to leave some blobs in the lettering which when dried looked dark in those areas. Not being a connoisseur of fountain pens, I guess the nib has to bed in, or whatever the term is called. I brought some Pelican 4001 turquoise ink. After using for a while the pen started writing smoothly with no blobs the ink flow became very consistent, although it is still a bit scratchy but that doesn't cause any problems. It's very comfortable to use, obviously I am using the converter and not cartridges. I would Highly recommend it to anybody who wants to try/use an Italic pen. I would highly recommend the Pen and the Seller.

Extremely difficult to write with, there seemed to be absolutely no flow of ink to the nib, I was continually having to shake the pen or squeeze the nib. Eventually I threw it away.

A fountain pen with a well slanted italic nib, but the nib is bit scratchy and tended to get caught in the paper. )But it could have been the fault of the Paper. ) The ink runs best on a long cartridge rather than small ones - as it lasts a long time.

I have received a left handed pen - nice pen but am right handed, would order another but not sure how to ask for a right handed one
