... coolers staring out the side of my server is pretty cool: ) Be careful with the orientation (rotation)
Having a pair of the beefy coolers staring out the side of my server is pretty cool :)Be careful with the orientation (rotation), they aren't actually square.

solid heat sink that I bought to cool a 80 Watt Xeon in a small server.others report that the matting surface to the processor is rough ??mine was ok ,you don't need a high polish for it to work

this is not a 130 watt cooler, but a 98 watt recommended cooler
Says 130 watt , but recommended 98 watts.Found this out as my intel chip getting to 70 deg on boot(125 watt chip)reduced the wattage to the chip by 15 and cools greatthis is not a 130 watt cooler, but a 98 watt recommended cooler

OK for the money, rough plate but bit better than reference cooler
Update: Now using it with a i7-5820K it does show its limitations; if you're not overclocking it just about keeps the CPU from reaching PROCHOT (95C or so); but OC to say 4GHz or so it gets too much for it and you're going to be throttling. So don't expect miracles, if you have a light load at reference speeds it is cheap - otherwise get something better / bigger.--Original: I'm using it in place of the reference cooler (that failed) to cool a i7-3960X a 130W CPU.It is made of aluminium with no copper pipes or anything fancy. I was disappointed that the plate (that fits over the CPU) is not smooth at all but quite rough - sure the paste will fill the holes but it won't make full contact with the CPU.However it seems to work well, somewhat better than the reference cooler - 80C at full load (130W thermal limit), but it likely won't impress overclockers. It is also relatively small and does not obstruct anything. Paste comes applied. For the price I think it's good value, under 20 quid when most coolers for 2011 are far more.Note: make sure you screw the 4 screws fully - first time I did not do it and it did not make contact with the CPU at all causing PROCHOT shutdown.

OK
It's a cheap HSF and is ok at what it does..I had to place an extra fan inside the case as this wouldn't cool the Intel i7 CPU enough!!Not overly noisy and easy install..
