Bought this for my old Garmin Nuvi 205W sat nav to go in my VW T6 van. I've got fed up with suction cups for glass mounting and don't have a suitable flat surface on the dashboard for a mat or disc. After some research this product seemed like the best option. It fits easily and you tighten the adjuster as necessary to keep it in place. It now sits perfectly above the radio screen (I have the VW standard CD Radio player). It doesn't block the screen or any of the controls or my view out of the windscreen. As an unexpected bonus, there was also an adjustable phone holder included in the pack. This fits on the ball mounting of the bracket like the sat nav. You can only use one or the other at any one time though. The only down side to this product I can see is if you use your CD player for your music. You would have to keep removing the bracket everytime you wanted to play a different CD. Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

I found I needed to use the supplied rubberised grips for it to stay put safely. A word of caution - do not overtighten the screw grip, I noticed the plastic housing surround of the in dash CD slot bowing as the grip was tightened. I would think its quite possible to snap the CD slot facia surround if you were to be a bit zealous with the screw fixing.Aside from that its a great piece of kit for not a lot of money, easy to adjust and have tried it with both iPhone 6, and 6s+.

My parents make regular trips to London and I've always been wary about them using window suction mounts as without due care and attention, opportunistic thieves can spot suction marks in the windscreen and could potentially break in.After searching around I found this product which not only was it great value for money, it was super sturdy and simple to install. The screw at the back expands a flap to keep the sturdiness within the CD tray. For those wondering, you can accommodate a CD and have this installed.Not only has this reduced the potential evidence left in windscreens from previous solutions, depending on the vehicle you have this installed in you can achieve an even better placement for sat navs and phones.Packaging comes with the mount, Garmin Nuvi adapter and also a conventional pinch phone holder adapter so you can easily switch should you want to use it from one to the other.

Firstly with this product is that it is made from plastic as so many of these items generally are, but this somehow has a little bit of weight to it, more than the OEM products.The unit is easy to fit and slides into the OEM CD slot nicely, not sure if I would do this if I had a aftermarket head unit. Still it is black and will fit into most interiors.I would recommend this to anyone who like me hates anything stuck to a windscreen.

it is a clever idea that works however if you want to play CD when it is mounted you will have to take it out to insert/remove a cd, the only problem I have is that in my car the cd slot is fairly low and sometimes when selecting 1st or 3th gear I knock the mount and have actually knocked my phone out of the holder, it is a little susceptable to vibration but no worse than any mount of its size and all in all it is reasonable value for money

Makes The sat nav a bit shaky on some roads . Had to see then .only gripe .so far .

At last I've found a way to mount my Garmin Drivesmart 65 in my Jaguar XFR (the inbuilt Jag satnav is hopeless). Because of the design of the XF dash the holder base has to be inserted in the CD slot upside down but it works perfectly. It holds the sat nav screen just below the Jaguar's own screen, so you can still see the latter for the reversing camera and other info. The CD slot holds the base firmly as long you attach the optional rubber pads supplied. An excellent purchase.

Works as stated, i.e. it hold in the CD slot without problem. However in my Hyundai i30, the thumb screw catches on the overlapping section of the dashboard & so I had to replace it with a longer M6 bolt. I also use the Garmin Nuvi holder (the ball joint is the same size) so that I could connect to the car power supply & keep the Nuvi charged whilst in use. The supplied Nuvi holder is OK if the charging is not required.
