My husband always used this type of shaving stick and was upset when the one he has used for so many years disappeared from the market. This is more expensive, does an excellent job, but for me it not only costs more than twice as much as the old Palmolive equivalent, but the extra charge for postage and packing makes it difficult for me to justify repurchasing.

Smells nice, lasts well (6 months), good lather that does four re-latherings from one initial application to my face. A tad pricier than other shave sticks, though by no means the worst in that respect.

Just what I needed for travel from home

Speick Shaving Men's StickThe good:- quick to use- quite economical- compact- like every shave stick or solid soap shave product I've used, I found it to not cause skin irritation problems, unlike every can of shaving foam I've ever used. Eventually the chemical stabilisers etc used in gas foaming products cause inflammation.The bad:- the foam is very short lived - a few seconds at most. I'm pretty sure the last Speick shave stick I had was much better. All the Palmolive shave sticks I've used were much better, with long lasting foam- skin lubrication was no better than cheap solid hand soap - so not much better than plain water. Again, Palmolive sticks had good skin lubrication to aid shaving. Sad they're no longer available.

My husband is very pleased with this shaving stick. He says it comes with silver foil wrapping around the stick which you take off one strip at a time. He says it gives a lovely lather and a good. close shave. I shall be sending for it again for him as he is so pleased,
