GAPWomen's Easy Straight Pull-on Pants

Go by hip measurement
I ordered a Small PETITE in indigo. I am 5 feet tall and wear a size 4. I was hoping they would fit shorter, however they do hit at ankle. Pants fit loosely, I would say closer to a 6 in the waist (chart says 4-6) but because of drawstring in waistline they can be pulled in. My hip measurement from chart is between a size XS and S but because of the cotton/rayon content I was fearful of shrinkage and did not want them to fit tight as these are a more casual look. They did not shrink to a noticeable degree. Material is on the lighter side for pants, I would consider these better for warmer seasons. Very comfortable and soft to wear. I disagree with some reviews that say pants have stretch. There is no elastic in material, and I don't consider cotton/rayon to be stretchy. Front pockets fit my entire hand (or cell phone), however back pocket is shorter.

Size Up
The quality is great, as I would expect from Gap. They are really cute casual pants but I don't think they work for me. I normally wear a size 14 so I ordered a large (used their size chart as a guide). They fit really snug across my hips, which is normally not a problem for me. The waist is good and comfortable (I won't wear pants that cut into me...life is too short!). I'm 5'7" and these are slightly too short for me. If I were 5'5", I think they'd be a better length. My main concern is these are mostly linen, and we all know rayon shrinks even when washed in cold water. Absolutely do not dry these.Bottom line: I wish I would've ordered XL to account for the snug hips, short length, and the fact that they are going to shrink no matter what I do.

Almost perfect!!
I do really love these pants... They are made well (they are GAP brand of course), the waist band is thick without cutting into your stomach, and the length cuffed is perfect for my short legs. The only complaint is I wish they were a tad roomier through the hips, I have an hourglass shape so it's always hard to find the balance between fitting my waist to hips. If you are thicker in the thighs/hips I would suggest sizing up.

Love them, but wow, do they run large
I loved these pants as soon as I pulled them out of the box. They have a linen look with none of the linen care issues. The elastic is wide, with a drawstring. Great pockets. The fabric is great.Until I tried them on, and they literally hung off me, in danger of slipping off completely. They are THAT large. I even doublechecked the tag to make sure I got the right size. Then doublechecked the size chart to make sure I had ordered correctly. Check and check, but y'all, these run big.I really love them, and I am going to order them in a smaller size.

Lightweight
These are a very lightweight material. They stop at the calf. They’ll compliment any casual outfit. I like the fit. It wasn’t snug.

Cute pants
I got the GAP Women's Easy Straight Pull-on Pants in Army Jacket Green, size X-Large. These are the slightest bit too small. Not so much that I can't wear them, but not the most flattering to my belly. To get the oversized look they have on the model, I should've sized up.The front pockets are real and a hair shallow, but useful. The back pockets are real, but need to be cut open.I find the cotton knit super comfortable and breathable. The fabric does wrinkle easily, but I don't mind wrinkles in a breezy style like this. The pair I received did have a large number of loose threads, which shouldn't happen on a $50 pair of pants.Overall, I am a fan of the color and comfortable style.

Do not size up…
Size reference:I am 5’6” and 126 lbs. Almost all of my jeans are US size 4 or 27 and the majority of my elastic waist pants are medium (leggings, jeggings, joggers, sweats, etc.). The size chart suggested a small for sizes 4 and 6 but I decided to order my stretchy pant size of medium. Because of the cotton and rayon fabric, I decided to prepare for a little shrinkage. That was a mistake.Material:Thin, buttery soft, with just a hint of stretch. Lovely shade of army green with an elastic waist, functioning front hip pockets, and drawstring.Opinion:Definitely go by the size chart and downsize if you are on the line. These pants are so large on me that I can’t even cinch them with the drawstring to stay on. Way too big in the waist and baggy in the rear and legs. Honestly, the small probably would be extra roomy as well because these are not even close to my other mediums. They seem well made and I love the softness of the material. Definitely not a good choice for snow days but great for warmer weather. If they had fit, I would have used them for business casual attire at the office during the summer.
