This is as good a $30 knife as you will ever find, worth 3 times that. Beautiful fit and finish, ground very thin behind the edge like real Japanese knives. AUS-10 is an excellent knife steel, I prefer it to VG-10 for taking and holding a sharp edge and being easier to sharpen, and the temper is on the hard side for good edge retention.

Beautiful knife, great quality and ready for kitchen action right from the package! The blade is sharp and handle of the knife is comfortable and provides a comfortable grip. The knife is not heavy which makes using it a breeze. The packaging is great and very presentable if you want to give it as a gift. I purchased this knife hoping there would be enough room for my knuckles to safely stay off the cutting board. Perhaps I hold a knife incorrectly but I try to do it right! This knife is beautiful and really sharp. I am a wee bit intimidated by it and have used it sparingly. It is beautiful and the packaging is perfect for gift collection.

Good quality product, very well packaged. Serious piece of advice: be careful when you use the knife, it is so sharp that I almost cut myself with it. My wife and I use this wife for pretty much anything (fish, meat, fruit,vegetable). No problem at all, it comes well the cutting performance!

Great knife very sharp! it's like a cross between a chef knife and a santoku knife and I really like it the blade is beautiful and is very well made. The price is much cheaper than other similar knives I would recommend this to anyone that needs a quality knife.
