Samurai 8230615 Curved Saw Plastic Handle 330 mm

Just as good as silky
People moan about it not being full tang, I can see their point, but honestly, these as cracking and just as sharp and the edge lasts. Just take the screws out the handle and threadlock them in.My original one is over 3 years old, I use it climbing and off floor pruning, spray with WD at the end of the day and it still looks like new, where as most of the silky fan boys just leave theirs rust after a year and blow another £50 on just the blade. This is wickedly sharp and in no effort gets through most species with ease, I done a 8" apple limb just to see if I could and had no issues.

Very sharp and cuts well
Very good quality, cuts easily through branches, even thick ones. Saves time getting the chainsaw out. Good design and light to hold, would recommend to any busy gardener.

Samurai saw VS Fir tree
After a lot of deliberation - Silky or Samurai, cost, lots of you tube watching, I decided on Samurai !I also got a free voucher from Amazon, which made the purchase all the more cheaper. Item came taped up in bubble wrap , no original packaging what so ever , seemed well dodgy . On close inspection the saw seemed brand new , unused and authentic , so I wasn’t too overly concerned.Well, I went to work on my overgrown fir tree with this razor sharp saw. Having used my £2.99 Wilko pruning saw for many years and thinking it was great, the Samurai saw was so impressive. This saw really cuts through fir wood so easily. Two inch think branches were easy. Cutting using my weaker left hand above head height, while standing on a extended step ladder wasn’t a problem. The holster is really handy and is a must. You cannot handle the blade with unprotected hands, it’s too sharp. Will this saw last many years staying sharp, stay rust free ? Don’t know , I’ve only used it once , hence I’m going to give it 4 stars. I’m happy with the purchase. If youre looking for a new pruning saw , I don’t think you will be disappointed with this one. Happy shopping.

Very good !
This was recommended to me and I can see why. It has an excellent cutting edge and comfortable to use.It is extremely sharp, so care must be taken throughout the process.

I came, I saw, I conquered
This 'Samurai Sword' as it's become known as in our garden is a seriously good bit of kit. Cutting on the pull, it cuts through thin branches or saplings with ease, with thicker branches requiring a few more saws but still cutting smoothly. It's a lightweight, very compact, effective tool, able to get to branches in hard to reach spaces. I've done a lot of work with it and it has surprisingly got through some thicker branches that previously I would have had to reach for the chainsaw for, and it's still sharp and cutting well. The scabbard is decent, it's main positive is that it has a slightly larger hole than the saw itself which is useful to hang it up in the shed and store away neatly. I would recommend this saw.

... yet but it seems to be quite sharp and good quality!
The saw seems to be quite sharp and good quality! The only thing that I don't like about this saw is that it is not full tang therefore, durability is an issue for me. Which is why I returned the item. If you are going to use this saw couple times a year for your garden then this may be for you (don't get me wrong its a good saw, just not durable for long term use in my opinion. IT WILL CUT THROUGH PRETTY MUCH ANY KIND OF WOOD). However, if you want a saw for everyday hardcore use and want it to last a long time, something like the silky zubat professional may be the saw for you.

Makes short work of small and medium branches.
This saw is comfortable to use and easily cuts through dry wood. I've cut through branches up to around 12" without needing much effort. This saw cuts on the pull so may take some getting-used-to. I've found that the saw can get bound up on green wood (such as Laurel) but will still cut through the branches with a bit of effort. Not quite as good as a Silky, nut nearly there for under 1/2 the price. The scabbard is rubbish though: Not a problem for garden use but would be a liability for taking on a long trip.

what a bit if kit
After accidentaly burning my co-workers very expensive version of this i watched homesteaders review on you tube and he was right, this is so perfect ergonomically. I have been out walking and cleared quite bid obstructions with this. Haven't touched my old bow saw after getting this, great sharp cuts on precious trees, can do quite big cuts, and so light to have with you any job you do. 2 pulls and you are through saplings cleanly. Have done a lot of stuff with this that i would have gone and got the chainsaw for previously, and at this price i might buy a few more for years to come yet the current one is still sharp as dime.
