A must for a Picasso fan, not so great for kids
Sweet book about Picasso through the eyes of a child. Lovely photos, but I think I would have preferred more poetic prose ... still love it as part of my Picasso collection. My 6 year old read it but he didn't think much of it.

Really good!
I have just read this for the 1st time to my 4.5 year old son. He really enjoyed it and was very captivated by the sculpture photos and explanations. This is a really interesting, educational book which doesn't feel like an educational book. I also enjoyed reading it and it gave us a lot to talk about. Sweet!

but I love how it makes the life of a famous artist ...
This book is suitable for quite young children with very simple, short text, but I love how it makes the life of a famous artist so accessible, I enjoyed reading it myself.

My daughter and I both enjoyed the story
Lovely insight into Picasso and his life through a boy's eyes. My daughter and I both enjoyed the story. We also saw the show that was taken from the book, which was also excellent. Even my husband is starting to like some of Picasso 's work.

The Boy who bit Picasso
A delightful children's book by Antony Penrose, son of Lee Miller and Roland Penrose, with beautiful photos and examples of Picasso's work. He was a friend of the family, visited their family home Farley Farm House, East Sussex, and got to know the author as a small boy.

Five Stars
Wonderful book that we got after seeing the children's stage production which was equally wonderful. Lovely story.
