Great reader, passable tablet
First the reader, the important part. This is probably the best software I’ve used for reading. I’ve had Android and use an iPhone and always found myself return to Apple’s Books. Despite some issues. This program does it all, and does it well. Pages load sharp and clear. No ghosting. Much like an LCD. But for the small amount of ram it’s surprising fast. Page turns are instant. No problems on small images or gigantic multi-hundred megabyte photos.Doesn’t choke on mega epubs hundreds of mega in airs. Not on extremely long books in the thousands of pages. Handles solid epub files just as well as split internals. CSS modifications and disabling works. And it actually competently loads replacement fonts. Then there’s the tablet. Yes, you can install Google kits and use the play store. Or side load apk files. You probably don’t want to. This is no onyx. It’s simple not meant for tablet use. Apps work, but not well.

Fantastic
I'd been wanting to upgrade to a larger screen e-reader for quite a while and this does it all. I had the OG Nook back in the day and moved from there to a 1st gen Kobo H2o. With the the Nook and the Kobo I had the ability to add my own epub files to the devices but other formats like Kindle's mobi required light effort. Basically I wanted a device with a larger screen than what I had and the ability to be free from one ecosystem and this enable that. With the Android operating system and the Google Play Store I can download the Kindle, B&N and Nook apps and and not have to deal with any converting. The ability to install Koreader and Moon gives me everything I've wanted. The pen/writing is neat but something I don't need. Seems in the Android e-reader world once you go past 7" everyone just jams note taking and pens in there. I've used it a little, it's neat and all but I could have done without. If you're on the fence between this and the color version like I was I think this is the better option. The ghosting on color eink still puts me off and there's also a new version of it dropping soon you'll just be mad you didn't get that, B&W works perfectly fine.

Great sketching device, extremely versatile, but has terrible battery life and storage capacity.
I will be writing this review based on what I have used it mostly for so far: casual sketching.Personally, I feel that the Nova Air 2 is an extremely great device for its price point despite its downsides. It works almost like an android tablet with fewer distractions and is extremely light. It does just what I want it to and rather well at that.Pros:This tablet is great for casual sketching. The notebook has many features allowing you to treat it almost like a drawing tablet. The things I have noticed though is how slow it takes to undo a stroke when you've made a page with multiple strokes. At first it felt weird as I undo my work a lot, but the stroke eraser made it a lot faster so that wasnt an issue. It just took some time to get used to. If you're curious about the feel of writing, I would say that it is smoother than a Wacom. I own a Wacom Intuos and it is a bit rougher than writing on a Boox Nova Air 2 surface. The device is also responsive when i put strokes down (I am on speed mode).Cons: Battery life drains really fast, especially when sketching. It has to be charged pretty often, probably once every 3 days depending on your usage. Another thing I noticed was that storage seems to be used up really fast too, but it isn't a big problem for me as there are cloud services like OneDrive and the Boox cloud service which can combat that. I just felt like that was a potential issue worth noting.

Great device for to-do lists, notes, and reading ebooks on a variety of apps
I use my Nova Air2 daily, at work and at home. It has become an indispensable device for me. I keep to-do lists on it and use it to work out and create physics problems (I'm a physics teacher). I also use it to read ebooks in the evenings. My Kindle always frustrated me because I couldn't use it to read ebooks from other apps, like Hoopla or Libby. But I can use those apps on the Nova Air2.The battery life is more than sufficient. It lasts about 2-3 weeks for me. I can see that it would drain much faster if you use this device to watch videos or play games, but I'm not sure why anyone would want to do that considering that videos and games look and play much better on a traditional phone or tablet. I don't think this device was intended for such uses.Overall awesome product.
