This item is not fit for purpose, a complete waste of money and has been returned for refund. Apart from the fact that many of the supplied plastic tags will be used trying to get the device to work, even when it does work the tags are so flimsy that the button flies right off when under the slightest pressure. I am amazed that so many of these ancient devices have been sold over such a long period of time as it is completely useless. The item and the packaging are from 1950's China and I am sure if this product were launched today it would never make it. Maybe it's just nostalgia as it certainly has no place in the 21st century.

The Buttoneer arrived from USA under 2 weeks which was fine.The product is great and after a few trial and error attempts then it is very easy to attach buttons to clothes in well under one minute. Fantastic and well worth the money.

Makes quick repair for lost buttons on shirts etc.

Total waste of time. Did not do the job I wanted it for. Bad selection by me......

piece of crap. I used to have one years ago, when they came to the market for the very first time. I was happy with it. Year later, I lost it. Now I bought a new one. Even though the design is the same, the quality of the material has decreased. The plastic piece to attach to the button breaks easily. In my case, for every 10 I tried, only one stays. That translates into a hole left in the clothing, after so many tries. Still, the sucessfull one (one out of ten) does not give me the confidence that the button will stay for a while, it is still loose.Stay away from the product

Used this many years ago, so had to get this one! Easy to use and practical as it’s quick to fix buttons

The reason that I purchased this product was that I am very clumsy with a needle and thread and basically cannot sew. I have three 'extra large' duvet covers which fasten with buttons and almost all the buttons have now parted company with each duvet cover. A quick and easy solution was what I was looking for. The Buttoneer product I purchased looked good in principle and the mechanism was similar to a stapler but with a plastic horse shoe shaped attachment. However only about one in four buttons actually attached and required time and patience to such an extent that it would be much easier to take out the dreaded cotton and thread and sew the buttons on. In addtion each failure destroyed the plastic attachment provided with the pack so that rapidly I found my scource running down. I don't recommend this product! Needless to say one duvet is partly completed but with about four more buttons yet to secure and the rest are waiting for the convential remedy of old fashioned sewing! .
