I'm probably being a bit harsh with this review given that I sort of knew what I was letting myself in for. First, you waste a lot of time trying to get the camera level with this type of rig. Second, it is very heavy for its size. I used the accessory once . Even though its well made, I wont be using it again.

It's OK but the placement of the nob/handle on the side means it's impossible to loosen/tighten without taking it off the tripod which I thought was odd as Neewer stuff is normally decent. It's not a problem though as I cut the nob in half using a bread knife - not ideal, but it was urgent!

This works well and I was able to fit it to the end of a microphone stand to make a short film about music writing.It gives all the adjustment you need to get good results with a phone.

The item is well made, although I have yet to use it, and I am sure it will work wonderfully once I do. However, the description says that the item offers 'Better compatibility with an included 1/4" to 3/8" screw' - this is NOT included so that's a bit misleading. I have ordered an adaptor to use the product as I needed.

Considering that It's very substantial, feels heavy and solid in the hand and does the job perfectly, how anyone could call it "very small and weak" is beyond me.Incidentally, the single locking screw fixes both the swivel ball and the 360 rotating fixture at the same time and as it has a removable 3/8 to 1/4 adapter screw it can be used with both size threads. Does the job.

Reassuringly sturdy and weighty piece of kit. Solid design, nice action and great holding power when locked in position. Solid AF.I use mine to hold a 600 LED Yongnuo film light with two large F-type batteries on a stand (meant to buy the spigot version, accidentally bought the 1/4" version, but this works grand).

Added to my mono it's now a perfect combination.

Excellent product
