Q: Would this gravel work for "eartheater", geophagus type cichalids? Or would the gravel be too large for them to spit around?

This gravel would be fine for Geo’s it’s a mix of tiny shell pieces and small rocks.

Q: How many bags would be needed for a 75 gal tank? I like to have a good 3/4-1" depth

for a 75g tank I would put 4-5 bags of this substrate. I have 110g tank and I already had substrate but wanted to add more and I purchased 2 bags along with 4 small bags of a different kind of substrate for appeal. I have about 1-2" depth of substrate. If 5 is too much just hold on to it cuz you'll likely need it down the road.
