A clean shave in less time it takes to fill a sink up
I wasn't sure about electric razors so when Braun and the guys over at BuzAgent offered me an opportunity to see how much they have moved on I was not sure what to expect. Well the Braun Series 9 shaver is a premium piece of kit. It feels solid, has a large display and a lovely grippy rubber back. I have used it for nearly two weeks now. I shave daily for work and it used to be a chore. I would hog the bathroom every morning drawing a sink of hot water, lather my face and reach for the manual razor. And feel the burn. I have sensitive skin which is why I have stayed away from electric shavers in the past as I feared that they would irritate my complexion and offer a poorer shave vs a regular wet shave. Well the guys and girls and Braun must have been listening to me when they came up with this. The large shaving head on the Series 9 has 4 different areas as not all hairs grow the same. Each area is able to move in and out on its own, so on 1 pass it manages to deal with anything my face can throw at it. From the finer hairs that grow on my neck to the much thicker hairs above my lip. No double passes required. You have the option to lock the head, but I have found it left floating works best for me. You just wake up and get it going on your face, no pre-shave rituals required. The 40,000 cuts a minute wake you up better than any hot wash ever will. And as the multi-head has double opti-foil elements and an arrangement of other trimmers it will last for ages. 18 months or so according to Braun. On the back there is a pop up trimmer for your sideburns. I would prefer that it is a little larger to be honest but it still does the job and I guess it can reach places a larger trimmer can't! Now lets talk about the charger. You could charge it with the smart plug inserted directly into the Braun Series 9 shaver but why would you do that when it comes with a Clean & Charge station? You just pop the shaver into the station and it charges. But if you press the button on the Clean & Charge station it makes a whirring noise and cleans the shaver. On its own. The shaver will even let you know when it needs cleaning. You could clean it manually by rinsing the head under a tap and drying but then you would miss out on the fresh lemon smell the greets my nose every morning. I am lazy, and this really is a game changer for me. I have yet to be told to actually charge my shaver, the longest I have left it is 4 days. The li-ion battery will go for 50 minutes and won't suffer from memory effect. Shaving wise I have only used it dry, but believe you can use it wet too. Why you would need to do that is beyond me, as I am getting a great close shave with it dry, even after a weekend without shaving. It is getting better and better the more I use it. And I have had no razor burn or the spots I feared would arrive using an electric shave - I guess you can put that down to the clean & charge cycle killing 99.99% of nasties and lubricating the shaving head. The Braun Series 9 Shaver come with the shaver, an excellent travel case, smart plug, clean & charge station, cleaning brush (for the old schoolers I guess) and 1 clean & charge insert. Try it, you won't go back!

The best electric shaver I've ever used!
This is the closest shave I've ever had from an electric shaver. Amazing! The shave that it leaves you with is almost comparable to that of a manual shaver. You can use the saver wet or dry, I normally just splash a bit of water on my face and go. From there it's a comfortable shave, doesn't feel like it pulls or snags anywhere and the swivelling head makes it easy to reach those places that I normally miss. I still can't get over how good the shave is, it leaves the electric shavers I've used previously in the dust! It's really comfortable to hold, with rubberised grips in exactly the right places. The buttons aren't in the way when you're shaving, so it's not too easy to turn it off by accident or anything like that. With its chrome like finish, the shaver looks really stylish in my bathroom alongside my other products. The shaver comes with a charging and cleaning dock as well as a cartridge of cleaning fluid to get you going. When it needs charging or cleaning it's super easy, just drop it and leave it for the day. The dock does make some noise for the hour or so whilst it's cleaning but after that it's completely silent. The lights on it aren't overly intrusive either so it's fine to keep in your bedroom. The shaver also comes with a cool looking hardened carry case, so if you're off on your travels you can take it with you safely. For those longer longer trips the charging cable that you use for your charging dock can also be plugged directly into your shaver. To be honest though, unless you're going for a fortnight or more, the battery will see you through! I can't praise this shaver enough. Super close shave, comfortable, looks great, all the accessories you need and travels well. Would definitely recommend to anyone and give 5 out of 5 any day. Thanks to Braun for allowing me to try this product for free.

Braun 9297cc WOW!!
After reading many mixed reviews on this shaver I decided to take the plunge and upgrade my worn out Braun series 5. What a great decision. this shaver is immense ok the price was a little high but you get what you pay for. This series 9 did not disappoint one wee bit. I have used it both wet & Dry and I must admit that I prefer using it wet with a good quality shaving serum. but remember folks if you do this give it a good clean under Hot running water before you park it back into the clean and charge station. If you don’t do this you will end up damaging the jets in the clean station with all the gunk off the shaver. A lot of people Said in there reviews that it felt cheap. Well all i8 can say is I don’t know what they purchased (maybe a fake Chinese import) but this feels like a very expensive in the hand. The ergonomics are fantastic just what you’d expect from the Germans. All in all this is a top quality shaver and it gives an excellent shave. Nice one Mr Braun

Worth it - part of a great shaving routine
As you know, this isn't cheap. In fact, it's very expensive - but I don't mind that because it's solved an adulthood long problem of sensitive skin. I've tried wet and electric shaving for the past 30 odd years, with painful and sore consequences - until now. This - combined with a pre-shave, cold rinse and soothing aftershave balm - has made all the difference to me.I have only used it dry, but it works perfectly. I take care of it, and brush/blow away any debris after every shave, and add oil after every weekly rinse. I also clean it using the propriety fluid after every month or so. It's not much effort - and I really don't want to lose this shaver. It is ok with long hairs, but does pull sometimes, which means that it's not worth the chance if I have a beard - I always trim it first.Of course, it's also beautiful - in a geeky, but certainly masculine, sort of way.
