BODUM11239-10B Bistro Coffee Mug, 0.35 L/12 oz - Transparent

So nice I bought it twice!Being conscious of the potential hazards of poorly regulated glazes on imported cheaply mass produced ceramic products, I decided to switch to glass mugs. I have a couple of others but they are on the small side, so when I saw this one I thought I'd give it a go.It arrived quickly and well packaged.As I had hoped, the mug being larger means I feel like I've actually had a reasonably sized cuppa.It is robust and sturdy, reassuringly heavy but I did not find it uncomfortably so, with an easy to hold handle that remains cool to the touch and a rim that is pleasant to drink from... thick enough to not raise concerns about it chipping easily, but not so thick as to be cumbersome.The simple curved sides make this a rather huggable mug!If you're like me and tend to throw a teabag in a cup instead of going through the teapot warming ritual, then it's rather nice to watch the tea infusing, especially pleasing when using herbal or fruit teas. Although I haven't made any, I should imagine that layered coffees would look very effective in this glass mug.Drinks stay hot for a reasonable period of time and it is easy to clean.... as I don't have a dishwasher that's always a bonus!It is now definitely my favourite mug and I've just ordered another one, so that pretty much says it all.

I actually bought this for my wife, but she found it too large for comfort with her smaller hands and a bit heavy to boot. I do admit that I thought it looked smaller on the Amazon web page than it is in reality. However, it is just perfect for me! My hands are just that bit larger and the handle affords an excellent grip. I also thought it would be rather fragile, but, to my surprise, it is quite solid in the hand and could not suit me any better. I like the minimalist styling and find it aesthetically appealing. Best of all it gives me a good size cup of coffee and keeps it warm. The handle is quite sturdy and keeps cool which is another plus as I like my coffee steaming hot! Best of all, however, the design keeps the mug stable so it will be hard to spill the contents.

The mug was made with thicker glass than i would have liked, making it quite heavy. But probably means it will withstand a few knocks.

Nice glass mug, keeps drinks warm whilst not too heavy to hold. Great value for money.

Glass mugs seem to come in and out of fashion over the years. These have certainly come into popularity in our household, offering a comfortable shape, holding a decent quantity of tea/coffee, being easy to clean (and dishwasher safe) and generally looking quite attractive - particularly if you don't put milk in your tea. They've also got the added benefit of letting you see how much drink you've got left.They've got a decent weight to them and the glass has so far proven robust enough to withstand being dropped in the kitchen sink and on a carpeted floor. All things considered, a decent mug that should last a good while.

These are great mugs. They look really nice and are comfortable to hold. Not heavy but still with a quality feel. Being transparent also makes it easy to keep them clean and stain free. Also, If you're quite particular about the colour of your tea (like I am) these are ideal for seeing exactly how your brew is coming along. These mugs will help you achieve a smashing cuppa!

I've just bought and received one of these mugs from Amazon to try it out. I think the glass mug itself will be good. I like the size of it and it's nice, strong, clear glass. The glass is all smoothed off. But, I think the shape of the handle could be better, to make it more stable and comfy to hold. Maybe that all depends on the size of your hand though. But, before I got to judging the mug itself, I was disappointed with how amazon sent it to me. It was just wrapped in some bubble wrap. And, the glass had fingermarks on it. I'd expected it to come in a box, like other Bodum items I've bought and seen on the internet. Other Bodum glass mugs and cups come in nice, smart boxes. This is not smartly presented, so not great as a gift, but OK if your buying for yourself. I'll use it for a bit and see how it goes. I'm not sure I want to buy anymore of them at the moment though.

Good coffee/tea mug. Exactly the size I was expecting, heavy and robust, looks good with tea/coffee in it. Only downside is the underside of the handle is not completely smooth, ie you can feel the join when holding the cup. I read mixed reviews on this, so can only assume they are not completely consistent in the manufacturing process.

Estremamente soddisfatto dell'articolo, ricevuto il giorno successivo all'ordine tramite prime.il vetro piuttosto spesso e apparentemente resistente, ha brillantemente superato la prova tè (quasi) bollente raffreddato a bagnomaria, senza mostrare rotture o cedimenti.Non ultimo, un design gradevole e una capienza analoga al classico mug in ceramica, che la rende adatta sia per gli amante del tè che per quelli del caffè americano.
