Fantastic product - rock solid shelving
After reading, the other reviews I was a little hesitant to purchase this rack system because of the negative reviews but based upon the specification and some of the more positive reviews I decided to bite the bullet and buy three of them.I built one today on my own in 30 minutes, it is rock solid and I cannot recommend them highly enough.I did not put the plastic feet on until the two lengths are clipped together and the top plastic cap (both are the same thing) until after the racking was built and the shelves are on and then they are a squeeze to fit but just push the board away from the cap.The two ends are what determines the height of the shelves, so make sure you either measure or count the holes between the supports – it will make sense when you see the drawing/instructionFYI to help you build the racking after building the two ends; I tied them together by placing the bottom and then the top rails in to give you the frame that will stand up on its own. From there you can space out the gaps between the shelves by lining up the cross rails with the end rails, I found this much easier than the way they suggested on the instructions – working from the bottom up that isBTW, I had no issues with the tabs on the rails; all went into the uprights with no issue unlike some of the other reviewers. Finally the supports that go across the shelving to support the MDF, you need to bend the tabs at right angles to slip into the lugs, it stumped me for a minute or two until I bent one and then slipped it into place. If you are a novice DIY’er, it should take you no time all to put the racking up with or without helpI built the other two the following day and they are brilliant - they have a neat little device that holds two or more sets of racks together so they cannot fallBuy the shelving, you won’t be disappointed once up they are brilliant!

Good solid shelves for garage/occasional use. Be careful putting them together though.
The parts are not all that solid - so you need to be a little bit careful when putting the shelves together.Once together though it does feel good and solid. The shelves on this wider model are thicker and feel good and solid. There are some real gotchas when putting this together;- Don't hammer hard at first or you will bend the parts - get all the parts in the right places before making everything tight.- The cross shelf support struts (under the shelf so not not in the pictures) do not match those in the instructions.- The instructions are average at best- I had to use one of the longer shelf beams that the cross shelf support struts go into to bend the metal for the cross strut into a right angle so I could fit them. bending each end before fitting to a shelf. The instructions then suggest you bend this further to lock in place. This seemed difficult and likely to bend the shelf beam. I may have this all wrong?- When putting the shelf beams in be careful to ensure that the tabs go into the holes in the legs (vertical pieces) correctly. It is easy for them to go into the first slot and miss the second.- If you hammer the top most shelf all the way down you are left with a nasty sharp lip from the top of the legs as they are 5mm + above the shelf board. These will rip into the bottom of any boxes etc you try and slide on or off the shelf. So be really careful when putting them together and you should end up with some good shelving. Not great, and there are some issues but for the price I was happy with them

You need a rubber mallet to put these together
I bought these for use at home to store lots of stuff on. You can't buy any furniture shelving that is this deep without soending loads of money & these are ideal for boxes of heavy paperwork.. As with similar 'boltless' shelving units in my workshop, they are a pain when the tabs don't go in all the way through the slot, but only go half way through, hit the metal the other side of the slot and pop out the side, the shelves still work ok with them like that, but it looks unsightly and if most/all of them are like that, then possibly not as strong or sturdy as it should be. That overcome, they look very good once made and the 10mm mdf boards put in place.I'm going buy a blue one as well just to add a contrasting colour. I wish they made these in a range of colours, not just red, blue, black & galvanised. All the pieces way quite a lot (18kg) in their box when they're delivered, tghtly packed in. I cut open the box down one side top to bottom to get all the pieces out as they were so tightly packed in, that made it much easier.

Good shelving - built in 30 mins.
Shelving is good and relatively easy to assemble. There was quite a bit of chipped paint, but mostly on the bits you can’t see once assembled. We ignored (in part) the instructions and built the top and bottom in two parts, then fitted them together as the joining sections meant it was very easy to pull it apart when moving it.The only issue when assembling it was that some of the “slots” were a little tight, but we used a flat blade screwdriver to open the holes slightly, once we have tried the “fit” of the horizontal bars on each end. We only needed to do this on 5 pieces. It took around 30 minutes to build using only a rubber mallet and the screwdriver. It will be interesting to see how the MDF copes in a garage that can be slightly damp at times.

Pretty Good!
Pretty easy to assemble. You can do assembly alone but two people is definitely easier. Instructions are clear. It seems sturdy enough. I am putting up to 150kg per deck on it.
